Thank you for sharing your Cuba experience. Your coverage is genuine. I have travelled Cuba for more than 15 years as a solo female traveller. I’ve explored the country from one end to the other, and have long-stayed up to 6 months at a time (a special arrangement between Cuba and Canadian travellers) in countless towns, cities and smaller communities. The beaches on the Caribbean coastline are definitely not the ‘best’ beaches. The can’t hold a candle to those on the Atlantic coast. I think until a blogger tries all the beaches in Cuba, it’s unfair to make ‘The Best of’ claim. It is misleading. Cuba has so much to offer, and putting less than truthful information out there can harm their tourist industry. So many travellers say ‘best restaurant’, ‘best casa particular, etc….but there are sooooooo many - it is impossible to have visited enough to make the best of declaration. Maybe say ‘my favourite’ of those I had time to visit…

If you are close to Denmark, you can take your car to Iceland on a ferry. I used an offer they had for around 1000 euro with possible stop on Faroe islands as well. And saved a lot on car hire, as I stayed for 6 weeks..

Thank you. It would be beneficial if you could break down the travel cost further. We are hoping to use the Viazul busses and it works out somewhat cheaper than the figure you have given, but not as much as I thought it would be. Particularly given the busses leave at ridiculous times in the morning.
