Wow, what a great interview!! It was like listening to 3 good friends talking over a few beers. Lewis has done many interviews for this film, but obviously really enjoyed this one! You all showed great knowledge of this film genre and should definitely keep in touch 👍

Horrible movie!

in my opinion, trying to make total sense of how this evil works, or how it moves from body to body, is irrelevant. i think there's films like this, where things are not 100% logically explained, because that's not the main priority, the horror and the mood and the ambience are the important part, same way an action movie doesn't often explain how sore muscles are after an action sequence, or if characters get thirsty after so much action, it's logic that goes beyond what's important for the feel of the film : )

I have no clue how this movie is rated PG-13 on Screambox 😅 They say fuck so often and straight throw titties in your face! I had no idea that was Van Damme's daughter; it at least explains the odd martial arts moves and kicks somewhat.

I too thoroughly "enjoyed" this movie. I've watched it three times and appreciate it a bit more on each viewing. The madness theory is intriguing; I fall more into the cosmic horror wheelhouse (but a terrestrial based horror like Cthulhu or the sorts.) The earthquakes at the beginning awakened ancient entities slumbering in the Earth and the four of the main characters just happened to be in an area heavily affected (as evidenced by the gas mask and government sign, showing some government body is aware of the threat) by these entities. The weird thunder was actually military excursions against the new threat and as more creatures begin to appear and the four main characters are subjected to anomalies their sanity begins to slip further and further. Time and space are affected as well, with Robbie living his current reality while simultaneously witnessing other dimensional timelines and possibilities. This explains how he sees himself holding the ax and then sees the four of them arriving again. These are potential past, presents and futures all existing in a time-space quagmire. Robbie succumbs to his madness eventually and commences with the schlong cutting (which he could very well have confused with the skinless snake creatures in his madness.) Love the podcast guys! Hope it blows up!
