    • @lemanoosh1613
      @lemanoosh1613 15 днів тому

      nTop is more specialized and focused on engineering and manufacturing, especially for lattice structures and topology optimization. It's great for specific tasks like lightweighting and complex geometry for 3D printing. Grasshopper, on the other hand, is a broader tool used for generative design, parametric modeling, and a wide range of architectural, industrial, and artistic applications. Grasshopper gives more flexibility, but nTop is more powerful for specific engineering tasks.

    Here I'm using a std account, when I tried the "bicycle helmet floating in a white background" it generated a collection of generic early 2000's organic style helmets. I re runned it several times to no avail. I tried putting before "non standard", "non generic", "differentianted" and other words with no results. Only when I wrote the cliched "Innovative" it showed 2 different models, the rest are the same generic organic, nondescript shapes.

    I just bought the course and ran though the contents. I am quite experienced in blender already so it made me slightly concerned to see that it is more focused on 3D modeling basics and less on product modeling itself. Area that I need to step up is presentation angles and pramatic logic behind product lighting, will this course be sufficient enough?

    • @lemanoosh1613
      @lemanoosh1613 3 роки тому

      The course is mainly focused on the modelling and studio rendering. I'd suggest you to go through the course and see if it matches what you need. As part of the launch offer, you have the 30-day money-back guarantee. We're working on other Blender courses for advanced users. Will be there soon. Keep me in touch if you need anything.

    • @Renzsu
      @Renzsu 3 роки тому

      @@lemanoosh1613 I will probably recommend this in the studio for coworkers new to Blender, but we mostly work with Solidworks / STEP data. Poly modeling is hardly ever used, except for maybe quick ideation studies for more complex objects or making adjustments to CAD data for marketing purposes (modeling more convincing fabric elements for example). As a suggestion for a follow-up course, I found Blender invaluable when using Eevee and animation. Setting up multiple scenes with path animated cameras / targets, using the built-in video editor and compositor for that extra bit of polish.

    Agree with your opinion, function always comes the first. Not eveyone is an artist to think about how good the shape is, but most of us think about how useful it is. With the basic of useful, then we will consider about the shape or the style it looks like. Help a lot of studying design, thanks a lot!

    I kind of disagree. Most of apple products are form over function. You need to get used to it and find workarounds to get the functions to work. They prioritise design first, you have to buy tons of adapters for things to work. The latest laptop for instance has only one single output for connections, for charging. Function there is very very limited.

    form follows function is honestly today quite reductive! forms must follow meaning : a combination of factors, from function to semantic to emotion to marketing. all comes from understanding first the user and the ideal experience and then what technologies and functional requirements meet the realisation of that experience. on lemanoosh i see rarely products that only follows function. form follows function is a principle of the 20s that supported the rationalism movement. society today doesn't react purely rationally.
