Whilst standing on top of a mineral silo at work one light summer night at 6pm I witnessed a completely round shape that just looked like a clock face, it came over the top of me , from the direction of Harborough rocks it had no wings or sound and it was pulsating bright red then a dull red just the same as a brake light on a car , it was at my eye level very low indeed , it was cruising and zig zagged from left to right, this must have been about at least 15 or 16 years ago, it moved in the direction of Carsington water I rote to the RAF about it twice but never got a response.

My self, a mate of mine and a girl and her mother all watched a great white light or cloud that looked like a ball of cotton wool move very slowly across the sky from left to right one night at about 8.30pm , we watched it until it actually went out of sight, I would love to know if any one else saw this at the time I think it was around 1970 or 71 we all lived in the village of Youlgreave. I remember people talking about it the next morning whist going to school on the bus.

Ex Derbyshire Police Officer here who spent a large chunk of 30 years service on nights many of which were in the Peak District, patrolling areas like the Hope Valley and the moors nearby. I never saw a darn thing in the sky or on the ground in all those years despite the area being "a notorious hotspot". Maybe I was just unlucky as I would really like to see something so that I can make a judgement on the subject, as it is I cant believe one way or the other, most frustrating!

I live in the middle of this area and one of the gentlemen mentioned my nearest town. I’ve also had a very strange experience and it sounded similar to one or two of the people in this video. If there is some way I could be put in touch, I would really like to explain it to someone and hopefully have it documented. My experience has changed my life and I’d love to share it. Great video.
