I'll have a go at anything, not always the proper way but I do try, take my videos as light humour and for entertainment only, the way I work on bikes or anything else may not be the correct way to do it as suggested by the manufacturer.
I usually have more fails than success but it keeps my mind and body working rather than sat in front of the tv playing the PS4

Yep, do you want me to do a video on it?
How much do you want for everything Suzuki that you have? Thanks
No idea yet, the 2 x 600f are rough, I was gonna do up and/or maybe use both bikes to make 1 track bike. The RF900 I think I may hang onto that as you never know they sky rocket like ford Escorts have done lol when I was 17 I had about 10 MK2 escorts, if only id kept them

The camera has poor quality. A 10 year old Panasonic GH4 makes better videos in full HD than the Ordro G700 in 4k
It'll do for me doing my YT videos 👍
What a lovely puppy, such a sweetie. You are doing a great job with him.
😂😂 i recognise that husky.. didn't expect to see me and nymeria then. Nice little video that 👍👍

Oooo big cams, I like that idea, keep it going Jason 👍
Do u really think you’re going to get hp improvement thru these fake Weber? Why not use fake fcr39 or 41 s from China
To make the intakes, it might be easiest to 3d print some as masters and cast from them (either as patterns, or “lost wax “ type casting). This would give you something close that would just need some machining. It would not be complicated to design and 3d print.
Good idea, but...I have no idea how to 3d print or even create the manifolds on a pc for the 3d printer to print
@@jasonparker333 , ah, slight flaw in my plan! While probably not viable for you for now, look up “Making for motorsport” . Car based channel but he has a video on designing and making an intake manifold
Lost foam is also a gd option u can get dimensional accurate parts and a nice flowing radius in the manifold
@@karlvanboxel561 , there are 3d printing resins designed specifically for lost wax type casting. Mostly for jewelry making. Price is fine for small parts, but not sure for larger parts. There are also filaments for filament printers designed for this.
@@karlvanboxel561 I'll look into it :-) thanks
Its a good idea, its a pity the idf clones are not well made compared to the weber originals and there is play between the throttle shaft bearing and the carb body, i have a idf 44 clone fitted to my trx850 which is similar to your yamaha with less cylinders
Can / Do you have a video of your carb setup?
Think you can turn the cable connection lever on the carb over so the cable can come down and pull on the lever. Think the end of the operating lever is on a rectangle on the end of the shaft. As to angle, think the original FZ750 engine was designed to lean forward 45 degrees. For the FZR and later think they leaned the whole engine back about 5 degrees so the barrels were in effect only ~40 degrees leant forward.
Thanks for your comment, I will investigate
@@jasonparker333 my experience with these carbs (and the Dellorto equivalents) is from ages ago on cars (Alfa boxer engines). On those there is one carb per bank with the 2 carbs parallel to each other. And they are about 2' apart! There is a bar across the engine which connects to the throttle cable The ends of this bar then connect to the throttles on the carbs (using small plastic links clipped onto balls - like tiny cheap rose joints). Possible you could do something similar. Throttle cable connect to the bar on one side of the head and the link bar running behind the cylinders. The 2 adjustable rose joint linkages from the bar, 1 to each carb (so you can adjust them close for basic balancing). On the Thunderace engine could maybe mount a bar like this using the bolts for the coolant connections on the back of the barrels). If you connect to the carbs in the centre of the engine it limits any potential issues for clearance between the carbs and the frame. No need to connect up the choke mechanism. Accelerator pumps do the job! On the cars when cold, jump in, pump the throttle 4 times then crank the engine.
@@katywalker8322 You certainly know your stuff :-)
If you’re going with these carbs: 1. Make a linkage between the two banks and run a modified cable to connect at the centre using the existing routing. 2. Have adapter rings made to connect the new manifolds to the existing inlet ports. 3. Check you have enough height under the tank to allow the carbs to breathe freely. Getting interesting 😁👍
I will give it a go 🙂
Hello. I have the exact same clocks and loom but rpm won't work. I've changed the rpm gauge for one that works and still won't play ball. 😂 I know the one I have fitted is slightly different but still fits in the housing anything that might be causing this issue I have tryed the old one with down and nothings happing compared to the "new" one I had lying about 😅😅
Hi, I'm sorry but I sold the bike and I have forgotten with how this set-up works
Very cute
Fast forward to 9:00 to see the Yellow Thunderace at home :-)
That yellow bike looks worse and worse every time I see it 😅. A couple of Webber's, that could be interesting 👍
The yellow bike is rough as fuck, bought it without seeing it, I must have been blind lol
Is the pedal and pop done
Nope, no transport to take frame for blasting etc. I did buy some stainless wheel spokes though for it, as soon as I can drive again it will be stripped and sent off for blasting and painting etc.
I used a VFR750 swing arm instead of a VFR800. Had a special link made and use spacers either side of the link to hold the dogbone in place. Can send you pictures of my project
That would be great thank you

Hi Jason, just a thought. With the weight perhaps have two drop down menu’s. One for whole values and the other for .00, .25, etc. Also I would think it is the total weight not just one side? I’m sure some folks will find it useful 😁
Good point, yeah I can do that 🙂
Hmmm its a tricky one. What about a Ducati swing arm? Or maybe a different linkage, the tringle bit, I can't remember its real name. Or just thinking while watching, can the shock relocate towards the chain side?
I think I have a plan
Subscribed cheers brother
Hi. just a thought but the length of the con rod doesn't change the capacity of the cylinder the stroke remains the same, the stroke is defined by the throw of the crank i.e. the difference between the centres at top dead centre and bottom dead centre.👍
I must admit that I thought the stroke was defined by the rod length, I was thinking along the lines of if I have for an extreme example a rod length of 100feet then the piston, ...actually yes you are correct, its the crank isnt it, if I have a crank web that circles a diameter of 4 inch but the next crank web has a diameter of 6 inch then even if the rods are the same length the 6 inch one would travel further, is that right?
cut your fingernails bro..its disguisting...
Coming along nicely Jason from the Legend Biking team and club page !

i look yours videos with yamaha frame and single side swing arms with all my attention. very cool project, i hope i can make the same next year on my YZFR 750 for track (if is not big trouble maker for stance or rigidity). it's incrédible to me to have a men tracing the way to do it! sorry my english is not the best i'm french guy.

Single arm and upside down forks, awesome, I love that setup 👍
ok!, looks like next weekend I'm walking down to the unit again to fetch home the ZX9R front end :-)
I had a Yamaha 1000 Exup and the clutch was absolutely crap, very grabby and it the end the clutch basket broke up and bent the crank, glad i got rid of it".

Thanx 4 making these vids of thunderace 1000,💥👍🏻,iwe got one my self and wounderd if you have made a video of ovehaulin the clutch, where it goes into engine,(dont knew whats its called) i cant free the bike, i have tried to bleed it but think it seased, i have the book,, but easyer to watch you😄💥👍🏻
Does the engine turn over by hand or does it try and turn the wheel?
What a bummer, It was a cracking Idea through 👍
Well, something else might work
Is that your car polluting by running when stationary just so madam can keep warm? Try turning off the engine and see how long the residual heat lasts by just having the heater and fan on?
I get her to rev it ad well cis i like wasting diesel 👍
I did this mod and ended up taking the difference out the frame then putting same amount in ally plate on outside of frame then reaming holes back out.
got any pics?
Keep up the good work

I agree about the river, it'll get sorted soon :-)
very good
Having similar issues with mine, its the first bike iv had with a choke. The battery is now flat and carburettor probably flooded, how do i drain the carburetor?
When an engine is "flooded" it usually means the spark plug is so wet with fuel that it cant fire. Just leaving the bike overnight usually solves the problem. If you want ti drain the float bowls then there should be small screw on the bottom of each float bowl just turn this screw (dont remove just turn a few turns) and any petrol will drain out
@@jasonparker333 Thank you for replying. I don't suppose you know one last thing, when I bought the bike they did say the Carburetor was on the way out, being full adjusted. Trying to find out if a NC29 Carburettor would be a suitable replacement for the 1989 CBR400 RR NC23 carb?
@@randy4372 I'll be honest I have no idea if the NC29 carbs will fit? Both the 23 and 29 are 400cc aren't they? So I would have thought that they would fit but please dont quote me on that, I honestly do not know, but what I cant understand is what do they mean by "being full adjusted"?
@@jasonparker333 yes both for a 400cc. Having no mechanical knowledge, I imaginen the adjustment to the carb setting is maxed out (?)
Sorry man you’re on about doing a proper job and u buy shite from Ali express definately not the way to go

Hi Jason, what parts does the big bore kit include?
Hi Mark, usually the pistons and rings fir deffo but may include the pins, not sure. But wait..... I have a cheaper more cunning plan, all will be revealed soon 👍
@@jasonparker333 Can't wait 😁 BTW, that YZF 750 you've got. Would that make a better basis for tuning as it's already got the flat slides, ohlins and (maybe) the 6 speed box? I know it wouldn't make 180bhp but it could be a better bet as I think they were raced back in the day.
