A Journey Through The Most Popular Colleen Hoover Books 📚 | It Ends With Us + It Starts With Us

The "It Ends With Us" movie is finally out, and I thought it would be a great time to review the two Colleen Hoover books that tell Lily Bloom's story. I love Blake Lively's acting, and I've adored Justin Baldoni ever since I first saw him play Rafael Solano in Jane The Virgin. I'm super excited to watch the movie and see how they bring the two main characters to life! But first, I wanted to sh...

rooting for you 💪🏽 reading a worthwhile book is a fun time🥳 In case it's helpful, I started with short stories and audiobooks. It made it super easy for me to get into reading
Exactly but I’m pushing thru lol Goodreads will keep u on it
Goodreads can’t let you forget even for a second😭😂 but yes, same! The year is not yet over so there’s still time

I think it would be nice for them to make a movie of the second book too. Thanks for the review 😊
Yeah, I think they might if this movie is successful
I watched the movie yesterday, but never read the book. I think it's a good portrayal of what the realities are.
I can't wait to watch it too!
🙂🙂
Cant wait for this to blow up
Same lol Thanks for the positive remarks
Icebreaker should be studied by literature professors. On how it fails everything in storytelling. Zero plot, zero character development, zero effort. This book is equivalent to banging your head against the wall. They werent even enemies! He just sees her and tries to speak to her but then for some reason starts lusting after her and she's angry at him for no fucking reason and is such an intolerable shit. Also that color is so cute on you! It makes you glow ❤
Yeah, it's really bad all round 💀 Thank you!
I read Icebreaker alongside a Book Club, earlier this year (2024). ALL OF US disliked it in some way.
Did you guys finish the entire book?
Have you considered comparing the adaptations of "Mo Dao Zu Shi"?
To be honest I have never heard of that one. I will have to look it up first. Do you like the adaptation or hate it?
@@StacyKinyanjui I like it.
why do you want to kill mama and baby goats for vanity with literally so many good plant based products available?
This brand is cruelty free meaning they don't test on or harm animals. Also, you don't need to kill a goat in order to get it's milk.
your opinion about Icebreaker had me howling. not as deep as a IG caption!
Don't even get me started on Icebreaker. What was that story 😂 Have you read it?
i've been hearing A LOT of people saying these books are terrible, so i'm scared to read them
Yeah, I definitely didn't like them 😭 but I would say everyone's experience is different so you never know, you may like them.
They are. There are so many great books out there, more than we can possibly read in a lifetime. Thus, there's no need to waste time on them
@@asea1203 That is true, there are more books than we can read in our lifetime so personally I also choose to DNF if I'm not enjoying something. Do you have any recommendations you can share?
@@StacyKinyanjui Of course !!!! The secret history, Howl's moving castle, Metamorphosis, The Great Gatsby, The sun also rises
@@asea1203 Howl's moving castle sounds interesting. Is it the one by Diana Wynne Jones?
You should read those books from Norah Hess🤣😂
Never heard of Norah Hess but I've looked her up and most of her book covers tell you everything you need to know BUT WHY am I curious and feel like reading at least one 😂 Btw it's not that I have anything against spicy books. My comments only relate to the specific book I've mentioned in the video 😁
@@StacyKinyanjui Start with "Raven" You dont even have to buy it. I think national library in Upper-hill has those books, read for free and if you like it ,then buy it☺It's actually a good story.
@@KenyaModo I've looked up the blurb and I'm not really feeling the story😭. I prefer your other recommendation by Danielle Steel. I might pick up Perfect Stranger.

This is what you call an instalove story. I’ve never read anything so shallow and fake 😅

Really? Is it the same as the one I've reviewed in the video?
@@StacyKinyanjuimine looks watery too but it’s spf 50

How would you rate Danielle Steel books. ? Are they good or average? Have had an experience with any of her books?
I've never read any of her books. She's pretty popular though so her writing should be good.
@@StacyKinyanjui To me they are good but I dont read much. Just wanted to hear from somebody who reads lots of books😅.

I'm super confused on why youtube reviewers are giving this show that has positive reviews almost every where negative?! This video is trash, watch Smarty Pants' review instead or Zach Pope's review
It’s called having an opinion. We don’t all have to think the same way and that’s okay.
Because when comparing it to the original, as she stated it can't hold a candle to it. And don't say you can't compare it. It's in the title to be compared, the character names, set designs etc. So calling out the shit Netflix did is warranted.
@@blkluster1986 you just want a 1:1 adaptation, that's impossible to do. Like look at One Piece. This show is REALLY faithful to the original Nick show, everyone else on the internet agrees with me and this is why i don't trust most youtube reviewers nowadays.
@DisneyGirl2004 A 1:1 adaptation isn't impossible. "The Flintstones" had a live action movie that looked like they jumped straight out of the cartoon in 1994.
@Disneygirl2004 Ur opinion is trash🙄..if u think the horrible Netflix adaptation of Avatar was any good🤷🏻♀️

@@roqkiernb I've looked up the personality description of Omol and yeah, it seems very accurate. Even for Robbie.

Lol How did you even think of that 😂
@@StacyKinyanjui too many weird names in this country,From Oyeyo( mouse ) and wang'odu, wacucu, wamatangi🤣
@@KenyaModo I had to look up Oyeyo just to confirm the meaning 😂 Yes! I now see that I am lucky my name has a nice meaning 😂
In the animation Aang RAN AWAY , he DIDN'T just try to clear his head. Sokka was the comitic relief character who had a sexist thought process that he grew out of. Aang DIDN'T waterbend ONCE despite the season literally being called Book 1: WATER. It's a shitty retelling of a phenomenal animation. Also Sokka got Suki AFTER Princess Yue when they went to the Northern Water Tribe. Suki didn't join Team Avatar til Season 3. We saw her like once in Season 2 but the stupid live-action is making it out like Suki is pining after Sokka, not vice versa.
Yes, I think in the animation it also made much more sense because when Aang was constantly filled with guilt especially when he was called out for disappearing it made sense. In this live adaptation, he spends half the time feeling down about disappearing when it literally wasn't his fault. He had no way of knowing that if he went to clear his head, his entire nation would be wiped out. Lol! Totally agree. I thought the same thing after watching it. Book one is called Water so how does he not water bend even once 😂 I agree with this too. They really watered down Sokka's relationship with both Suki and Yue. In the animation, you could see how the natural progression of things helped Sokka create a genuine bond with Suki and later on Yue but here it seems like he's getting girls just cause. But, as a fan, I still have hope for Season 2. For all we know, the storytelling might get better.
Same, i have hope but if they fuck up season 2 as bad as they fucked up season 1, I'm done with this new, "better" ATLA @StacyKinyanjui
bruh the 2010 movie adapation is more memorable
Unfortunately, I have to respectfully disagree. 😅 I think this Netflix adaptation did a great job with everything except for the writing/scripting. If the scripting was better it would have been a 10/10 for me. When it comes to the 2010 movie it was bad all around.
@@StacyKinyanjui oh i meant memorable in a sense in memes but i agree the 2010 movie is bad bad, mannn i was a kid in the 2010's excited about the last airbender movie....well
@@maymay5600 Oh for sure! We really did get some great memes. Same. I was a kid too and super excited. I don't even think I was old enough to be able to comprehend it wasn't a good movie at that time. I just watched it, didn't like it, and quickly moved on to other stuff.
@@StacyKinyanjui when i saw the movie, i could tell some blaring differences and the shit that was just...but that ending lol we all remember the earth bender scene lul
@@maymay5600 No one can forget the Earthbender scene because what was that 😂
The episodes got better as it went on. They still heavily missed on azula, that actress does not match amd several honestly. Aang actor has potential but they are asking him to emote and he just seems to say his lines
Yeah. Azula felt like a brat who wanted attention instead of the ruthless and scary character she was in the animation. I also thought the same about Aang but only in some moments not all the time.
@@StacyKinyanjui I think in the original Azula WAS basically a brat who wanted attention - she was 14, after all - but the difference is that she was also a 14-year old with an insane level of power and status. Her brattiness is usually hidden because she's so terrifying! It's layered in a way that the remake just didn't achieve whatsoever.
@@Neogeddon Hmm... Now that you've mentioned it, I think you have a point. It's easy to forget that she's just a kid. In the animation, I saw her as a ruthless, terrifying character, and because that was depicted so well, I forgot she was only 14. Sadly, yes, this remake only shows her as an attention-seeking brat when there was so much more to her batshit crazy persona.
Interesting.... are the hard copies available locally....?
Yes, they should be given how popular the story is.
Awesome content 👏🏽
Thank you!
All the actors was miscasted as well
You think so? We seem to have different opinions on this one. I actually liked the actors. To me, they look very similar to the characters in the animation.
Some were but not all. Some have it but are green in the acting like aangs actor.
I had to approve you
👍🎉
I never watched Game of Thrones but if this show is supposed to appeal to Game of Thrones fans then apparently that show is made out of stonefaced emos with no personality and occasional gratious violence for the sake of violence with no real sbustance behind it.
Game of Thrones is amazing in both its plot structure and character development. Even though this was their goal, Avatar unfortunately didn't come close to Game of Thrones quality. Definitely agree with you on that. I don't know when it became a thing to only give characters one trait which is often being a skilled fighter then conclude that's a fully-fledged personality. Also agree with the violence part too but I am such a huge fan of Avatar so I hope they improve in season 2.
Quite a good analysis....
Thank you
This is extremely well shot, produced and the topic well elucidated. I honestly can't make sense of the view count

How do i know that mine is original not fake
I unfortunately don't have a straightforward answer for that. Instead, I can share what I usually do. I only make purchases from reputable brands e.g. Big supermarket chain stores and I've also noticed Cerave shares which companies they have partnered with to sell their products which helps me know which stores are guaranteed to be selling the original product.
Cam i use it layering with tretinoin?
I believe so. This works like a moisturizer with no actives so it should be okay.
@@StacyKinyanjui thanks sis...but sis isnt Tranexamic acid is an active?
@@proytinusrat2592 Based on my research and understanding, tranexamic acid is a tyrosinase inhibitor. It works by suppressing excess melanin production to promote skin brightening and evenness while fading dark spots. Ingredients that don't mix well with others are ingredients like AHAs, BHAs, retinol, tretinoin etc. These ingredients are commonly referred to as actives and they all have one thing in common. They work by speeding cell turnover so that you can shed the top layer of the skin and have the underneath healthy layer come to the surface. Most if not all products that affect cell turnover on your skin have a likelihood of not working well with other ingredients that do the same. As you can see Tranexamic acid does not function the same way as these actives. If Tranexamic acid is listed as an ingredient in this formula, I would still consider it safe to use based on my personal experience and research. That is because this Hada Labo product as mentioned before, primarily functions as a gentle moisturizer with skin-brightening properties.
