I have 2 Rocco who is 121/2years and Cezar is 2.Now had 4 and they are the best smartest creatures. They are my Soul. I adore them and they adore me. They do what I ask of them but have lots of freedom to be themselves. Pity they don't live as long as humans

I discovered my dog shiva is Maremma through dogscan app. I knew that shiva,wasnt the local.mutt.. i adopted her from a dog rescue that saves dogs from southern Israel. Her vet studied in Italy and admitted after two years that ok yes she looks maremma.. She has only one foot with an extra toe. She looks so similar to the breed. She has epileptic seizures and is on medication. How common is that? Shiva is 2 and a half years old. I have had her since she was 2 months old. She is very protective and also calm. No one can believe how protective she can be since she seems sheep like most of the time..

Pyrenees look-alike .... very beautiful dog. I have a Pyrenees who is a looker and Protector ..... JUST BEST DOGS these Guardian dogs. God bless, jj

She has the benefit of corgi, great with cats, good swimmer, herding ability (does well with big animals and rough housing), great smile, happy disposition and affectionate. ❤️

my 7 y.o. black and tan is so much fun. i live in a small country town but exercise her every day. she runs beside me while i am on the push bike etc. all the kids and some adults know her by name and love giving her pats ❤

I have a Meramma named 'Belle" . I have had her for 10 months now and she is amazing. She was kept in a large cage in Italy for a number of years ( not sure how many ) without freedom, no walks ,very little mostly disgustng food scraps and a huge tumour hanging down which has been removed and it was benign thank God. She loves her home which is an apartment in France next to the sea with a 90 meter private enclosed garden that she rarely uses. She loves our walks every day, she enjoys other dogs and she loves the attention she gets from people. She is loving, extremely stubborn and has problems sometimes going down stairs. No problem going up them. She loves going out and smelling and peeing on everything but also loves to come home where she lays in her big bed . She is thoughtful, gentle and attentive and I am 73 so greatly appreciate that. She walks along the beach ( no leash ) and lays in the sun and usually has a big smile on her face.She is happy and content. A very unique, independent and loving dog and as a retiree I have the time and the patience to understand her. I cannot totally agree because I think these dogs make amazing companions and are happy being loved, being praised and walking every day. They are really laid back and lazy basically. They really don't do much even in their natural habitat.A 1 or 2 hour walk and they're ready to come home to their bed.

Great name 😁 I have a chocolate Kelpie boy and his name is also Muffin.

She is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous 🥰. Kelpies are my number 1 favourite dog breed. My first ever dog was a Kelpie mix... He was most likely mixed with border collie, and possibly german shepherd, or possibly even pit bull? Will never know... Unfortunately, he was extremely aggressive and territorial towards others. He wanted to always protect me and pretty much nipped at most of my friends and cousins. He had to get put down 😢. And even they were surprised of how aggressive and strong he was when they came to get him. But, over the years I've just had this connection with Kelpies. We used to visit my mums ex fiance's friends farm. They had several Kelpies and I really connected with them all. Lol, the owners were surprised two of their Kelpies let me pat them! I'd love to eventually own a pure breed when I finally settle into a house.

Wonderful video! Your Maremma are beautiful and clearly have a very strong bond with you. I’ve had two Great Pyrenees and it seems like they share not only physical characteristics but behavioral too. I laughed when you mentioned “cat like” because we used to call our big male “the biggest cat we’ve ever had”.

I had a brussels griffon that reminded me a lot of Denver. He didn't have the long goofy ears, but they were longer than usual. The face and eyes remind me of him.

My 2 year old Blenheim Cavalier puppy shadows me all the time. Sometimes when you only have one... if you want to correct this behavior...it is better if you get them in pairs! It works out so much better 😊❤ Believe me, I have done both! They thrive on companionship. A partner for your pup is a much better deal 😊❤❤❤

I have a 3-year old Great Pyrenees who I first thought (when I rescued her) might be a Marema, However DNA proves her to be 100% Pyrenees. Both breeds are wonderful; gentle yet protective!

My girl Ginger is so good that I left a bag of beef jerky on my end table when I went across the street to get some coffee and she did not touch it🎉

You can find kelpie breeders in Sydney that have bred family dogs for decades, my 2yr old female acts more like a Labrador than a kelpie, my other 3yr old female came from a farm in Taree and she definitely has all the normal Kelpie traits, both get plenty of exercise and are not destructive at all when the kids go to school and we both go to work. I'll never own another breed after owning kelpies, amazing dogs!

Beautiful that they can work in a pack. If strangers keep being an issue, two caucasian ovcharka from a ussr red kennel line (so not original) would help, they are very territorial vs humans and still very good with life stock.
