As the mower is going away from U the flail mower head is forcing ( EVERY ) leaf of grass away from u On the way back forcing ( EVERY ) leaf to U. As one has more surface area than the other it reflect more sun light .
Really good machines. They don't leave a spec on the ground. . . . . . and the stripes last forever!
