Thanks for visiting my channel. I hope you enjoyed my videos on the Stanford MBA, MBA decisions & the application process.
When I first thought about doing an MBA I didn't even think of applying to any of the top business schools. I felt like I would never have a chance to get into any of them. Reading statistics and profile reviews mostly just made me anxious about my undergraduate GPA and the GMAT I hadn't yet taken.
Funnily enough there was one thing that made me think I had a shot to get into one of those top universities: Watching college decision reaction videos on youtube and seeing other people get into Harvard, Stanford or Wharton. Sadly, there were only very few MBA decision reaction videos, but now after the process is over, I think I can do my part to change that.
Hopefully, I can motivate some of you, who are thinking about an MBA or masters to apply to the business school you really want to go to!

Hey lucas, thanks for the video. Can you please tell me if you gave GM or Gre and does the IVY league consider the examination given at home? If you help students to get admitted, please let me know. I am searching for the one who can help accordingly.
I have my own supply firm and had worked with a huge company as channel partner in India so can you please tell me whether I need a top level management’s LOR or the branch manager with whom I have worked the most ?
Hi, Lukas. thank you for sharing. can I have copy of your essay because I just start learning to write and I learn english too. Thank you again Lukas
I apologise for being random, but how much of a difference would it make if we choose to apply with the gre score rather than the gmat ?
If I am with very good GMAT 740 score and good GPA of 3.7, BUT DON'T HAVE WORK EXPERIENCE, BUT I HAVE FOUNDED COMPANIES AND I AM YOUNG 24, AND GREAT COMMUNITY EXTRACURICULAR ACTIVITY. CAN ME BEING YOUNG AND NOT HAVING WORK EXPERIENCE BE A DEAL BREAKER. I WANT TO BUILD THIS PROFILE
So I have no work experience can I still pursue MBA ???
Would you recommend GRE/GMAT? Or it doesn’t matter which, I feel like I hear that but see more GMAT scores for business school.
If anyyone has weak academic but scores high in gmat so he will get admission or not ?pls reply Pls reply
Hi Lukas, We actually met in Duesseldorf at one of the customer you and I worked for (Different companies). You made a great a impression on me and I just found through Linked In the link to your YT channel. I am very and I mean, very impressed on what you are achieving. Huge congrats, but whats more important is .... that I feel I missed out certain opportunities. Frankly... that makes me sad... as I am already 40+ ;-) so I won't be able to turn arond my life, which isn't bad, its actually pretty good, but ONLY NOW I see that this kind of education and pursuit to meet great people and connect with them around the world make so much sense. I had a WRONG perspective for so many years and now I am even angry ... BUT... the important things is actually to learn from it, so my kids will not make the same mistakes. Thank you for opening my eyes and all the best in your future career.
I am a science student from India ,and am attracted towards business studies, and so want to pursue masters in business administration abroad, but am unable to frame why exactly do I want to pursue an MBA. Could you please help me with any material or course that could help me know business more clearly and ,I could design my MBA application for abroad studies.
hi Lukas, I understand that one of the most challenging part for international students to break into VC post-MBA is getting sponsored. How was your experience? I guess most VC firms are reluctant to go through the sponsorship hurdles of hiring internationals
Beautiful essay ❤
Not worth it.
Great video! Thank you
IS it possible to do this MBA AT 37 years
look man im a job creator im not lookin to hire a bunch of number crunchers I want people who retain information ... the sense of urgency in the education system is a total failure
under time pressure that makes no sense at all
Hi Lukas, hope this message finds you well. Can I ask you how much was your GPA for the undergraduate bachelor? Have a nice day
Wowwww it’s awesome, expensive but so worth it!!
Such a great video Lukas, so many of my questions got answered and you look like a great human too❤
what is 2+2 program of Harvard for mba as i am a fresher i want to get into top B schools
Is it mandatory to show your IELTS/TOEFL score even if ur studies are in English in one of the Asian countries?
Thank you for sharing not for your experience, but you give me an insight of acceptance rate, and the estimated annual total cost. After seeing your video, it makes me motivated to pursue my dream, even though I need to consider the source of my funding academy if I would like to go to Stanford. I appreciate your content Lukas!
Ewwww Elon Musk and Mike Pence.
This is like the staple German accent. If someone in Hollywood wants to do a German accent they need to study you.
You did not tell us which one you have chosen ?
Very inspiring and motivational.
Thanks alot Lukas for the informative and interesting video! Really got me excited while working my MBA application 😊
Harvard or Stanford which one is better for mba?in recent time? How much cgpa is safe for get in Harvard, mit,Stanford or Wharton mba?
The general consensus is Stanford > Harvard > Wharton.
IITs laughing in the corner (acceptance:0.1%)
Quality matters 😅
I almost came for your essay😂😂😂
Thank you for great resource recommendations!
How was VC.recruiting for internationals? You have pre-MBA startup experience, would you say having a specific background is a gatekeeper, even at the GSB?
Is it worth it for someone in mid 30s? Do you have such classmates?
Fantastic. It is not the tactfulness but it is coming out from your heart and brain. Very well explained...
Excellent. Sincere and meticulous ❤
No papi no papi ! You look more handsome with your black hair😊😊😊😊
This is by far the best video I have watched on SOPs. Thank you for sharing your essay and the invaluable tips.
This video was incredible to watch. Not only you shared your own experience with us, you also gave a lot of insights and orientation guides for us, paired with good lightning, soundtracks, audio and script. It was really well made. That acceptance rate is nuts, but, I'll come back in a few years, to tell you guys I've made it.
This is great and very helpful ! Can you go over your HBS essay as well ?!
Did you really get 117 for TOEFL? No offense, but your speaking speed is a bit slow to get that score.
Speed isn't actually that relevant when speaking English. The focus lies more on vocab and pronunciation
Congratsss bro, well its maybe late. However why you choose stanford instead of harvard because you got offered both
Should one opt for mba as fresher ?
Congratulations Lukas🎉🎉
Mr Lukas, Could you give me advice how I can reach out with you please?)
Thank you for your sharing! I have a question: if my work experience is banking 6 years ago, corporate 5 years ago and self employed for the last 4 years. Who do you recommend me to get letter of recommendation from? Thank you very much!
Is senior cabin crew experience good for mba with an engineering degree,I have worked as a software engineer for more than one year but currently I'm working as a cabin crew..
Great video! Thank you!
Great video! I went to HBS many years ago and also applied and got into Wharton. I have some additional advice. I only applied to two schools because I was doing really well at my job at P&G and even applying to two schools was a lot of work. I didn’t do as much preparation as you except for the essay, where I actually went a step further and sent them to two friends at HBS and at Wharton to get their feedback. Also everyone has strengths and weaknesses. In my case strength was my work experience and my weakness was my GMAT and undergrad school. However for International students like me they look more at the math and TOEFL because obviously English is not our first language. I also asked a professor to write one of my reco. He had a PhD from Wharton and of course in had aced his classes. Asking your boss can be tricky if they don’t want you to leave so I asked a previous boss and also one my subordinates. I got in both schools without interviews and early. I also visited a class at HBS which was my top choice. I always advice applicants to think of personal accomplishments which were very challenging and made you standout. Again if you have a weakness then your strengths need to be super strong. Think of your competition. At HBS they accept about 10% so if your weakness puts you in 75-80% percentile then your strengths need to put you in 98% percentile!
How do I professionally say, "I already have an admit, but I'll choose you if you give me a scholarship"?
