Lazers (working title name) guitar playthrough
cant hear
cool
This guy cant talk if he uses a line 6 😂
@@Ls_guitarz I use a headrush prime….
@@kingricket1581 yeah lil bro youre talking out of your ass fs the code 50 is so much better than any line 6 atm
@@Ls_guitarz brother, I literally have 20 years of playing and 5 as a recording artist. You are 100% delusional if you think a code is better than a spider. There is a reason you see greats like Jeff Loomis, Bill Kelliher ect practicing with them…
@@Ls_guitarz you’re entitled to your own opinion, but the fact remains that this is a metal channel, please show me some of your music recorded on a Marshall code, until then your opinion is invalid.
@@kingricket1581 bro you play straight metalcore, you know there are other genres right? People who like to play jazz fusion prog or just straight rock think its more than enough 😭 look at the 4.9 star reviews on sweetwater, i think that speaks for itself
for all the people that are thinking about getting the Marshall code 50. It is a digital amp but that does not mean it lacks power or kick. It will chug if you mess around with the distortion and amp types. It will play clean tones anything from bright and creamy to low and dark. It’s versatile and that’s what it was meant for, everything it has was put together evenly and I think you should get it. Still please try out different amps and see for yourself don’t take anyone else’s word for it.
Simple answer to your problem,Just buy a boss katana instead
I did, and then sold that for a blackstar and then sold that for the headrush prime which I’m about to sell for a kemper haha
@kingricket1581 A boss katana for a kemper isnt bad. But what are you gonna trade that kemper for,A house?
Actually I really want a nice Victory set up, I’m considering the Keaken head with the kraken cab so I’m just kinda working up to that lol
@@kingricket1581 sounds like it would be pretty sweet
Cool guitat. What model is it?
Man I completely forgot about this, it’s actually one of my favorite acoustics! Fender Parlor CP-100, I learned how to play on first act acoustic as a child so I always preferred parlor sized acoustic guitars and this is one of my favorites and they’re super cheap. Sub $200 US
Marshall 50 is sick !
You like what you like lol, glad your investment makes you happy
@@kingricket1581Cheers bro i think alot don't know how to use gear as well and want it to be plug and play but i agree with you 💪
Is it the Omen 6 diamond series or other one like the extreme or elite?
I don’t think the elites were out at this time tbh so it’s just the old standard omen but they had the heavy ass body on them and for me personally I loved it alot. I still have this guitar actually, just doesn’t get much play, my mains now are epiphone ghosthorse and the “inspired by Gibson” explorer but with a neck pick up delete and Nazgûl trembucker pickup
I had that exact line 6 spider. I thought the distortion sounded muddy. I prefer more of a cleaner crisp distortion. That Marshall definitely will have a better tone. And yeah, Adjust your settings.
I heard they were crap. I think all of the Marshalls made over seas are crap
Apparently it’s a relatively unpopular opinion but imo they’re the worst version of what it’s supposed to be made. This was years ago and I still stand by it haha
Thank you for this video. Most people just playing blues.. I got the 8 string but wanted to see this in action.
Man I forgot all about this haha. I actually still have this guitar now. It’s in a closet next to my now music studio. Omens are fantastic, I stick to 6s and 7s but have played a few of these 8s and they’re fantastic
how do you tune it to have that deep electric-y sound? maybe its cause mine isnt plugged in?
you are so bad at kulkulkan, don't play smite anymore
Only thing I’m gonna smite tonight is that ass
That’s not a review, that’s just a typical gen z / millennial response to something when they can’t work it out 🤣🤣
I mean, I’m literally a recording artist and studio musician for literally several years, but what do I know considering I have not only bought and had every amp in the range, Vyper / crush / katana / spider III,IV and V, blackstar HT series was leaps and bounds better for the exact same price. I’m sorry you’re so I’ll informed and unskilled you would actually think this amp was any good.
I would say it’s the most accurate review on the internet. It was so bad I remember it even today and I only had it for maybe a week or two, we couldn’t even use it lol
Hey man, I love it that you are keeping it real! I was going to buy the Marshall Code 50. I have the Line 6 Spider V MK II 30 watt that I use for practice. Love it. What model Line 6 did you show while in the car? I also have the BOSS Katana MKII 100 Watt. It's Killer. I don't like the PC Editor though. It's crap. Thank you for posting. Have you ever tried the BOSS Katana 100 MKII or the Fender GTX100?
I believe back then it was a 120w spider IV combo, these days all my music has been recorded simply using neural DSP plug ins and my music being released in the coming weeks will all be 6505 and 5150 impulses that were in my head rush Prime unit. When I traded this thing in I replaced it with the boss katana and it was on a completely different level than the code 50. I’m sure genre makes a difference here but the code was thin and lifeless. I spent over a week trying to dial in tones to record with and couldn’t get a single good metal tone
@@kingricket1581 Hey cool! You have the headrush Prime? I would like to get that! I have the Headrush MX5 (the baby headrush, great device!). The Katana is awesome! Another amp that I highly recommend at least for practice is the Spark AMP 40 by Positive Grid. Also, the BOSS GT-1 is great. It's oldie by goody. Good luck in your future endeavors man!
Yup! Iv had the prime for a couple weeks now and I love it so far. I haven’t had an opportunity to model anything with it just yet but with everything on board Iv already been able to find and make tones I am currently using for recording and it’s been really easy to figure out and have fun with right out of the box. Pleasantly surprised at how well it works and sounds, touch screen is a nice touch as well haha.
@@kingricket1581 I'm definitely going to get the Prime! I had the Line 6 Helix but I had to sell for financial reasons. Oh well! I do have the Line Pod Go though. Sorry for the many questions. Good luck in your future endeavors.
Neckbeard dweeb
About 5 years late for this but tbh I'm super happy with mine, being a Metallica fan i really went hardcore on trying to replicate the album tones and to be honest i was quite successful getting the KEA and RTL tones down since if i remember correctly the were using Marshals for those albums before going with Mesas for MOP and Justice. Did experience the crappy boominess and muffled sound but was dealt with quite easily by adjusting the presence and resonance in the power settings.
Maybe they’re better now than when they were released but I just couldn’t dig anything I could make, I had a boss katana as a reference and they were night and day different, katana at the time at least was beyond superior, I had just gotten another amp in hopes to record with something small and simple. Now I just use my head rush prime or neural dsp
I just bought a Line 6 3 months ago and I can say the Line 6 is a piece of SHIT!! The Code is far superior to the Line 6 in every way
You’re entitled to your own opinion but it’s ass. If you play metal, it’s ass. If you play at all, it’s ass. I’m not saying the spiders are any better, but that doesn’t make it good
Ola Englund showed that the Code 50 can chug, but you have to turn off the cab imulator (seems to be the shite in the chain).
Cool playing and performance dude, sounds ace, wishing you all the very best 🙂❤️🤘
Thanks man! \m/
Sounds good man
Thanks!
Chill dude.. Till the metal happens.. Then all hell breaks loose! 😆🔥🤘
Haha, but old this video, I have actually made a few songs since then. Check them out! Black Mass / Heracles and the Nemian Lion are my favorites so far.
Tuning?
I play everything in drop G# for 7 strings even still today.
Sounded great
I've played Schecter for some time now. I haven't had any issues with Schecter guitars. Our band plays live most weekends and we play everything from Accept, Maiden to our original stuff and my Schecters can stand up to anything. I play through an Orange system and they sound great especially live. Great video!
Nicely done, Cody!
I even hit the bell. ❤️
Samsies 🤠
I have a shector omen 6 and its so damm heavy it even plays Drop A with Brutal slam Death Metal
Dope asf! Awesome Guitar!!😃🙌🏼
Thank you!!
@@kingricket1581 Np!!
What's the neck profile like? Thin?
Yeah it’s pretty thin, It’s comparable to my jake Bowen Ibanez 7. Thin but not too thin like the wizard necks, I like it a lot tbh
@@kingricket1581 Thanks for getting back to me mate. I'm waiting for them to get into Australia then I'll grab one!
Of course! I hadn’t played one before I bought it but had seen it was in a 7 and figured if I didn’t like it I’d just return it but it’s one of my favorites to date now. I usually just get “super strat” style guitars, this was definitely a nice break from the norm.
Nice. What’s that guitar weight about?
I gotta be honest I am not very sure. I can say it’s pretty light, not too neck heavy (I did get a larger strap because it is slightly neck heavy but that took care of it entirely and easily) I’d say maybe 8-9lbs. Definitely not as heavy as an les paul that isn’t chambered.
how long can you shred in that tempo with such a grip?
Haha idk man, like 4 or 5 minutes? Iv got a few actual songs out now under King Ricket. 100% my own guitar/bass/vocals check it out!
Fucking Ed Sheeran can do anything man
Through hard work and dedication (and being a ginger) dreams do come true
Nice!
Thanks!
You're the man!
@@stephaniezepeda7932 can’t argue with that! Haha one man band
Love the guitar, I just bought one from Kat's near Rayford.
One of my favorites too, I chose to play this one over my jake Bowen Ibanez, now my main is the newer Dean ML 7-select but this sits right next to it haha
@@kingricket1581 bro I didn't know there was a 7 string dimbag guitar, thats sick! I gotta get one of those!
@@huedue check them out! They have V and explorer shape as well i beleive in 7, custom pick ups, the neck is finished but matte so it doesn’t stick, easily my new favorite
what song was that?
Was something I was writing g at the time, haha I completely forgot about this
Seriously anything a snake does is fucking adorable
Absolutely!!!
yes
damn she is beautiful
I feel like this is gonna blow up, it currently has 3k views while I am writing this
Man I posted this yeaaars ago and it never had anything until now haha
His water dish was empty because he drank it all up so he had no other choice
Snek sippy
Load it with one of these three pickup sets: Duncan Nazgul/Sentient Duncan Distortion/Jazz Duncan JB/Jazz. Then get a good tube amp like a Marshall, Blackstar or Peavey 6505. Then it's time to rock.
Pretty old video now haha, I run through blackstar when I use my amp, but now it's a Damien platinum into neural DSP, but u have a new BC RICH shredzilla 7 on the way as well. Would have gone nazgul and sentient though.
I like Schecter guitares, very good 🤘😎🤘🌀⚡🔥🤩 thanks for your performance
Coool:>
Thanks Hatch!
@@kingricket1581 np lol
Haha yeah, thought it would be a good name.
@@kingricket1581 lol it is
Could you tell me what you paid for it. I found one on craigslist with a small practice amp for $150.00
I bought it brand new when they came out with them for about $300 with taxes. If you set it up nicely, i still beleive this is one of the better guitars in its range. $150 is a good deal in my opinion without the amp (a good amp can make a bad guitar sound good, a bad amp will make a good guitar sound bad)
Sounds epic dude!
First one sounds so much crisper
Exactly!!!! I bought a new Code 50 and following month I dump it at half price . Yes it’s crap 💩 and push buttons amp • really!!! The Bluetooth crap 💩 on it is pathetic bc amp won’t stay connected 😡😡😡 I bought a Chinese amp called Bugera G20 and all I have are knobs to turn for my adjustments and I’ll put it up against any Marshall amp with 412 cab. I’ve added 2 Bugera Turbo Sound 80watt cabs , I paid half of what a Marshall half stack is worth and I never look back ... In my future , Orange 🍊 Cr120 w/412 cab .
i'm a getting a blue one so thanks
Nice!
I finally got this guitar and it's super good and it's kind of my taste so it's really good to me and thanks for the review and I'm glad that I watched this
Just ordered this through Guitar center. Great price. Can't wait for pickup! Can't wait to play it.
Awesome! Great guitars for the price surely.
