The Original Call of Duty Champions
Before COD Champs, there was National Champs.
From 2008 to 2011, MLG hosted a year-end National Championship for Call of Duty where the top teams throughout the year battled it out to crown the best team in the game from that year.
16 years later, Championship rings were made and presented to the National Championship winners to cement their achievement and celebrate the trailblazing they did for Call of Duty Esports.
MLG Vegas 2008 - Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Team FeaR - Moho, Choppy, ASSASS1N, PacMan
MLG Dallas 2009 - Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Xtravagant Icons - Rambo, Big Tymer, Sharp, Dodgers
MLG Dallas 2010 - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Influence - Pluto, Mutation, Terror, Brim
MLG Providence 2011 - Call of Duty: Black Ops
Quantic Nex-TT-hreat - Censor, Mutation, Vengeance, Virus

We set out to HCS Raleigh to encapsulate the first Halo event back with two disposable cameras. You can't get better than a selfie of Ogre 2 and Snip3down. Check out the full resolution here: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1SudQVhB2kjVEMVvHGKxdCo9oxEq3wM8Z?usp=sharing
I’m a real OG player 20 years of call of duty I started in 2004
This guy acts like he went to real war like Band of Brothers. It’s a video game, relax.
man clay was fun to watch. always root for any team he was on. hes the last of the ogs to go
This is a man who clearly loved what he did. You can see how much it means to him and how it shaped him into who he is today. This is coming from someone who was never really a fan of him, but am now. But as an adult today i can see past the bs. Respect man is all i can say.
Man I can’t believe this is really gonna be the end of an era soon. I’m getting old and it’s sad cause this was really a big part of my childhood. Thanks CLAYSTER for inspiring a young boy to go out and try to live his dream 🥹❤️
I'm 33 and started Gamebattles on CoD4, almost went pro in BO1. I regret not traveling for MLG events but CoD Esports really wasn't a thing until BO2 and my parents were kinda against me traveling as a teenager... Did a UMG event when AW came out and played on a team with friends I was better then. I felt like it was too late for me being in my 20's and trying to compete. Going to MLG events as a sponsored player would have put my foot in the door. After all I met 100's of players who became my teammates and some are close friends. If you think you have a chance to compete and you love what you do go for it! (I can actually say I'm one of the first Team Envyus members but never got to compete for Hastro lol.)
I used to watch you guys since the Complexity era and optics massive streak since Xgames, i gotta say, the players, COD itself evolved and went through massive hardships, buy yall are the greatest, aint nothing you cant go through. "If the time comes, then time comes" But the clock's still ticking
My favorite CoD player of all time
legit just stole the whole video for clout, shame
I got to witness him winning all his rings (from the comfort of my bedroom), but its only now that i see what kind of blessing that was...
This was fire
Thank you
I was always sad when he was dropped from complexity in black ops 2 , the real OGs know how funny UMG Philadelphia was when he was on tk playing coL 😂😂
Man’s sister died and then his girl cheated on him, and he still kept going. That is CHARACTER!
who else came here to see the video without some loud mouth reacting to it smfh
legend 🐐
You'll be missed clay !
Idk how it happened but the first time I watched esports was the Faze clay, zoomaa, attach and enable team and I’ve watched CWL ever since, I loved that team. Even when they split I loved seeing them do well on other rosters. Ty for always putting on a show and all the shit talking during events😂, one of the best to ever do it!
CLAYYYY THE F-ing Crimbot and teepee and aches Has any cod team ever been that dominant ever since? True legends
Watching him since advanced warfare
Best FAL player in bo2 one of the best leaders & main ar‘s ever top 3 Player all time
This is a Materpiece! Thanks Clay!
I have had the pleasure of meeting you at 2 events most recently when you were on the desk at the COD champs in Allen, TX...The first time I met you I went around to the upper level of the Kings Theater in Brooklyn and it was during the Vanguard Major 4 event...You were sitting up there alone and I said to the boys I gotta go up and see Clay...I am glad I did and you are such a generous person with your time...I wish you all the best and hope to see you on the desk this year at some events...It is guys like you that make the COD scene great...All the best to you and congratulations on a great COD career...
This brought serious joy, just knowing that the OG’s of call of duty being remembered and recognized, getting a ring for a time that CoD was played for fun….
I’m about their age if not for Lier by like 4-5 years perhaps…but man, Nadeshot,Scumpii, crimsix, clayster…good memories 😅
GG's clay! Your a legend in the scene
Ppl may not have liked the cockiness….but no one can deny clay is a legend in the COD scene.
All time great. Clay at MLG Dallas 2013 was the craziest I’ve seen someone play on a team that shouldn’t have made finals. Legend of the game and a legend of a guy. Best of luck in what’s next Clay
Shawstin just fucking delivers everytime
Clayster will always be my favorite cod pro. Resilient as a person can be. Much love, teared up watching this.
Still my favourite CDL player of all time in Call of Duty.
The amount of impact clayster had on CDL and let alone getting me and other people into competitive is crazy. Bro was a fucking beast. Part of the childhood, crazy how there all retiring now. I been a crazy Clay fanboy since like 2016. Don’t really play anymore. Don’t really watch to much competitive cod nomore
OpTic Clayster for content?
I will be 30 in April. Watched Clay his entire journey through. Love this dude. He paved the way for the next generation to do their thing. True legend.
Competitive Call of Duty truly isnt going to be the same without seeing our boy James in the killfeed. Its going to be different times men, but we have alot of great young talent to watch grow in the scene for many years to come 🫡
where are we even gonna get to see him now he doesn’t upload on youtube
super sad our era of cod pros is like over
i don’t think anyone was ready for this one guys i’m so glad that we got to witness it though def one of the greats
love you clay its K1NG3D here we use to go back and forth for the ladder on gamebattles back in the day when modern warfare first released i watched u for a while much love man one of the best snd players ever no doubt about it
👏👏👏

Powerhouse player, high five dude and hugs
FOREVER A GOAT <3
Thank you Clay for all you've done for the scene. You're an inspiration to me and so many others in the community. Enjoy your retirement; what an amazing career!
My favorite cod player! Glad I was able to meet him.
IS THIS AN UNINTENDED LINE OF SIGHT?????
I didn’t know for your sister its always hard losing a loved one especially someone this young grief is a long and difficult journey
Thank you for the memories and the competition you allowed us to grow up watching. A true legend of the craft
Grew up watching him play, met him once, too. Guy is absolute legend. Hurts a bit
What a career.. I dunno what you decide to do from here but I know you will excel where ever. I don’t doubt Hecz would love to have you home with OG if you wanna do content and who knows. Enjoy some time off and look forward to see where you go next.
