A bit further north by Papua New Guinea it's really pronounced. Tropics are wild. Seems to mostly happen at night.

Haha yeah, the black dot is the moon. (it's blacked out to protect the cameras/sensors on the satellite, because to the satellite it's extremely bright.) At least that's what I recall reading about it a while back.
