Poured Architecture: Sergio Prego on Miguel Fisac
"Poured Architecture: Sergio Prego on Miguel Fisac" establishes a dialogue between the late Spanish architect Miguel Fisac and the contemporary work of the Basque-born, Brooklyn-based artist Sergio Prego. Through a new body of work supported by a Graham Foundation Fellowship, Sergio Prego explores the possibility and synchronicity of materials and processes across architecture and visual art in a new series of sculptures and drawings inspired by Miguel Fisac’s innovative architecture and construction techniques.

🥰 BEAUTIFUL and powerful ladies.
plural meaning and the abstraction a perfect combination for meaning making
"Poetry in my practice brings into view such a being, hopefully, one who might be unavailable to the rules of character, who is uninterested in the fixed-raced definitions of modernity, and who refuses the efforts to renovate narratives of coloniality and imperialism. This being owes no exposition for their presence or actions, most certainly not to that spectatorship." 30:46
"Good poetry anyway, that is poetry that fills its entire capacities on line and meter and metaphor and pressure on the unknown, putting different things together to make kind of new meaning all the time." 23:40
I looked up Mr Safdie after a visit to the Crystal Bridges Museum. The museum is a work of art and is currently being expanded. I thoroughly enjoyed this talk. Mr. Safdie has truly made this a better world! ❤
