    I turn 39 in a couple of weeks. I've known since late June 2022 that I am autistic. I had suspected it for some 10 years before diving deeper into it and actually taking tests online (some of which were questionnaires used in formal testing) and all of them came back essentially telling me I may as well have a neon sign with AUTISM on my forehead. Having spent my life masking and assimilating, along with being a girl born in the mid 80's and attending schools between 1992-2004, my (very obvious) autism was missed throughout my childhood and school years even with me dealing with what was likely autistic burnout in my early teenage years, and spending about as much time at the school counselor's office as I did in the classrooms, eventually even the psychiatric unit for children and adolescents got involved because I was struggling really bad and needed a year of adaptations at school where I spent my days in a special classroom away from big crowds and construction work, and I only studied the mandatory subjects, and had a lot of documentation around it all to progress to high school. I even asked to be placed in special needs class because the small, single classroom environment appealed to me, but it was denied because I was too book smart. When I figured out in 2022 that I'm actually autistic. My life made sense, and I started feeling a lot more relaxed and at peace with myself. When I told my now boyfriend about my revelation, he admitted he'd known about my autism since we first started talking, another friend had a similar response, they'd both known within seconds of meeting me, both of them have formal diagnose. I realized I had spent my life masking and assimilating, and once realizing that and dropping the mask and allowing myself to just be me, it was a huge relief! Putting up with neurotypical's shit is exhausting!!!

    I think love is fundamental to reality i dont know exactly how to explain it but through psychosis ive found separation is pain and unity is love. So yes there is genuine altruistic behavior

    This is sooo useless. This is umasked autism experienced from the outside. It does not help an autistic person to know if she or he is autistic at all. This guy is clueless on how it is experienced from an autistic perspective. He is also factually wrong in many of his statements. Here are two things. WE CAN LEARN! I have "learned social skills" like a parrot learn to repeat certain behaviors, like smiling when greet some one... These things don't come naturally and sometimes I use them in the wrong way, but 99% of the time I get it right (I didn't as a kid)... Also, I have no problem making friends..... with other autistic people... It's normies I can't make friend with, because I don't understand them and they don't understand me. Doctor in what. Google and speak?

    It took me a long time to figure out and understand it but my really long time friend approached me intrusively and i didn't want a whole lot to do with him when he forced his presence on me at the bus stop. His lack of social awareness is glaring now. He's very nice but basically livea in blissful ignorance

    I had a panic attack. One time I was in a dream sleepwalking, but I felt like I was going to die and somebody was chasing me and I could barely breathe and then I ran to my mothers room, half asleep, sing somebody chasing me, but I still remember it, so I wasn’t really asleep.❤❤ stay safe out there everybody❤❤❤😂

  • @Sendloveinstead
    @Sendloveinstead 10 днів тому

    It could be the complete opposite as well. I was hoping to see this in the video to stop some misconceptions people have.. Some of us can mask these things as well. We could hyper fixate on others body language, trying to determine what it means, and/or mimic it. We could also make too much eye contact and not know when to look away, as a lot of us were taught/made to make eye contact. We could also make too many facial expressions/over exaggerate our facial expressions. We can be monotone/flat, or overly expressive in our tone of voice and body language. Both are true for me. It depends on the situation and how I am feeling in that moment. I should add I am high masking and also ADHD. And everybody presents it differently as well.

    So many people are led to believe they have this disorder or that disorder. Wake up! Every human behaviour and action as well as thoughts have been medicalised by these crooks! It’s their bread! Do people even think nowadays? Or they just believe everything just because “somebody certified” is saying so? What a dumb society indeed.

    Yes it does work I've been doing that. But it does take discipline to stay at the task what is the actual challenge for the adhd brain. We do search for a quick hit of dopamine that would keep us going on the task we're supposed to be working. Thanks for the video. Keep these brains reminded what's optimal for them.

    The criteria is so rigid there’s multiple symptoms and the symptoms vary. I’m on the spectrum and I don’t have problems keeping conversations going😡 it could just be masking or social conditioning though but people just don’t understand unless they actually have it I guess
