A collection of short transport-related archive films. Most of these are sourced from 16mm films of 1950s/60s vintage or converted to digital from the equally obsolete VHS tape format.
Although some of the clips are not of the highest quality by modern standards, they represent the best that can be achieved bearing in mind the age and condition of the originals.

RT3143 (KYY 872) posing as SWT 80!
In the 1985/6 remake of the Peter Sellers classic 'Only Two Can Play', entitled 'That Uncertain Feeling', RT3143 (KYY 872) appeared in SWT livery carrying fleet no. 80. Here are couple of of clips of RT3143, first in the dark and later in daylight.

Swansea Victoria to Pontarddulais

Swansea Victoria was served by trains to and from Shrewsbury, Crewe, Liverpool, Manchester and York and formed the southern terminus of the Central Wales line, most of which is still operational. The Swansea Victoria to Pontarddulais section closed in June 1964.

The B&I Ferries MV Innisfallen, MV Leinster and MV Munster at work in the Irish Sea on the Swansea to Cork and Liverpool to Dublin routes. A Cambrian Airways Vickers Viscount 701 purchased secondhand from BEA, takes off from Rhoose Airport (nowadays Cardiff International) in the 1960s. 12 aircraft of this type were purchased from 1963 and they retained this livery until 1968. Two seaside miniature railways: A clip of the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Railway, a 21 inch gauge line which opened in in 1933. Wow thanks for the film,so many memories passing Blackrock Castle in the morning going into cork harbour on the innisfallen that's when I knew I was home.
Great times.....I remember Cambrian at Liverpool in the 60s.
memories for me of Cambrian.
