I'm sorry to ask in the comments section but I have no other way of contacting you; is there any way that we could discuss the possibility of using a few of your clips for a mini documentary I'm currently scripting? We had the pleasure of visiting Camber Sands last year and had the best family holiday we've ever had. We were so looking forward to coming baxk year after year, but were gutted to hear the news that its long tenure was cut off so unceremoniously and I felt it was only proper to give the place a final goodbye (and one that is in defence of the place at that!) Sadly I was too busy having an amazing time to get spades and spades of footage, and would love to be able to tie in the footage I got with some footage if the park from over the years. I would very much appreciate any help in this endeavour, and naturally I'd give all credit to yourself and any relevant sources for the footage. Thank you for your time Kyle MyRetroTat

Went there with my mum and dad and two sisters ❤in the1960s ❤😂while we were there a guard dog escaped and they had to put a warning out to the campers to be carefull Brixham was so less built up Lots of open fields still even a olds abandon car from 1950s on the road side ❤we lived in plymouth😂

Our family stayed there a few years running in the 70's - I remember the 'Barnacle Bar', they had a separate 'bar' for kids, with games machines and a pool table, and you could get soft drinks, although my dad did manage to persuade them to make me a proper shandy with beer and bring it round (think I was 13 or 14?)! Great memories of the place, the entertainment - and checking the 'photo board' to see if there were any of you that you wanted to buy!

I am not seeking to say anything bad about the General Manager because I don't know him. It's just interesting to look back and see how things have changed that's all. The General Manager's comments at 4:56 have not aged well - it just goes to show you how times have changed. What he says and the way he has placed his arms around the two women workers would probably by todays standards now be considered sexual harrassment by the camps General Manager to what appear to be much junior members of staff. He appears to be displaying the women almost as if they were his personal trophies and at the same time, (perhaps inadvertently, perhaps deliberately) implying that all the female staff were employed primarily for their looks. When I was a kid in the mid 1970s I had a fantastic two weeks at Pontins Camber Sands with my family and I have many happy memories of that holiday. Great times! Thank you Kevin Gray for posting this. I only wish there was a film like this from my time there in the mid 1970s but that was in the days before video and camcorders had been invented so therefore not so many films from that era exist.

Worked behind the bar summer 91 and a bit of 92. Crazy times.

My friend Callum Adams likes to make annual visits to Pontins Camber Sands. He says it's his favourite holiday resort - 10/10. This year he went and was so happy the swimming pool was closed because that meant he had an excuse to stick around for the dance competition without feeling shame.

We went several times mid 70s to 1980. Before the slides. Used to be a diving board. Rowed inflatable dinghy to Mudeford. Great times with my parents and grandparents ❤️
