    I've tried all these and the froth never lasts long. I find the best way is to do the jar method, but eith cold milk and shake for a minute, then put it in a mug (baristas pls don't kill me I'm so sorry....) and put it in the microwave. U get rlly fluffy froth w small bubbles as long as u dont over heat or over shake. The froth always stays for me this way by the time I'm finished w my coffee (: my old barista friend taught me this trick. Been hooked since

    Kate, there's a lovely old-fashioned word that was used for your kind of charm: vivacious. My high school girlfriend had it. Susan Saint James had it back in the '70s. So, thanks for the opportunity to use a word that I haven't had a reason to use for longer than a Millennial's life-span. And, yes, the cafetiere method works best for me, too.

    Hi Kate, thanxs for the great vid. Just a question, can you please spell the word you used at 4 minutes and 55 seconds in the video? I am unable to make out the word ? => It sounded like "... a South African tartartar ..." or was it "... a South African tatatagh ..." And tell me what it is ? I am very curious, so please share. Quick note: Growing up along campfires and stuff I always thought the traditional braaibroodjie was - buttered white bread - chopped onion - and tomato The Mrs. Balls chutney and cheese are a new thing to me.

    I quarter my lemons and run them across a cheese grater. It literally gets every drop of juice out with almost no work and very rapidly. Then I dump the juice through a strainer and use the back of a spoon to force the remaining juice through the strainer. Then, instead of tossing the pulp, I mix the pulp with some yogurt, honey, and a mashed banana for a killer skin mask. All that fruit acid really makes your skin smooth.

    • @KitchenHacks
      @KitchenHacks 9 років тому

      hi Keely, microwaves differ so you should heat the milk in 20 - 30 second interims, checking as you go until the milk is just beginning to give off a little steam - then you know it's ready. If you overdue it and it does begin to boil, let it rest for 2 minutes before frothing.
