I'm curious about the host's comment "certainly wouldn't have been hired at Brigham Young University". BYU historically hires nonLDS scholars to maintain diverse viewpoints. No one is more open to the corruption of original Bible texts than the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, aka Mormons. Where daily women and men both officiate in priesthood ordinances in the temple. Where each Sunday both women and men testify of of the divinity of Jesus Christ from the pulpit... Where Christ having been married, not only on earth but for eternity, likely with Mary the Tower, is accepted as common sense if not doctrine... Where belief in the Divine Feminine, the wife of God the Father even our Heavenly Mother, has been a foundational doctrine since the church was restored... I am most impressed with Dr.. Polczer's tenacity and research. A great next topic for study for Dr. Polczer might be the systematic deletion of the Divine Feminine from the Old Testament and Hebrew culture during the Josiahian and Hezekiahian reforms...

When Dale Allen speaks of the Sacred Feminine, guys, it's inclusive of both men and women. Without it present, Man is not balanced. It runs through all of us. We just have to accept it as part of our nature and relish in it. Men can still be men, only more in touch with their Inherent Love Nature. In other words, with their True Selves. Kudos to Dale for coming out with this message at a time when the world really needs it.

I feel so many parallels in your story Cherie, deconstructing religion, the shame around a conception, patriarchy etc, but I realised I must have been a Mormon in a past life, because I have watched anything polygamous for years, ie Sister Wives, Big Love, and I even lived in a polyamorous relationship in my late 30s (two husbands). Two sides of my family tree come from the US, one side is nearly a direct line to someone on the Mayflower.

Thank you for sharing such deeply personal journeying Cherie. That makes my blood boil about what happened to you over the conception of your first child. Separating you from the pack. Its our worst fear as a tribe member. Religion is just a concept to control the masses.

Control of others is fear based and the bible says that the creator didnt give you a attitude of fear, but love, energy and mental well being.

You should never understand religious doctrines without historical context or the principles of attitude and actions like care and charity.

Anger trauma from household, school, work, entertainment, politics or religious institution can damage the central nervous system. It causes, ptsd, ocd and maybe even bpd as a defense / safety mechanism, at different levels, like allot of escape habits.

Thank you so much for this interview/discussion. I very much appreciate what Dr. Anne Baring PHD is sharing with the world about restoring the feminine face of the Holy Spirit. This crucial part of the Holy Spirit is a core element of what is missing from this spiritual concept & foundational essence of human beings perception & experience of the God spirit. This blatant omission is making our world & humanity gravely ill, imbalanced & unable to heal. What Dr. Baring shares in this video reminds me of associations to the work of Marija Gimbutas - archaeologist & anthropologist who extensively explored archeological relics of the Divine Feminine from past centuries in past decades. I also have associations to certain books written in past decades such as, "Beyond God the Father: Toward a Philosophy of Women's Liberation" by Mary Daly, "When God Was A Woman" by Merlin Stone," & others. When the second wave of American feminism was at its earlier stages in the 1960's & 1970's different women seekers of the Divine Feminine & alternatives to a Patriarchal God began researching & writing groundbreaking books about this topic. Many women did come out of the dark in the 1960's for a number of decades into the light with their voices, art, evolving politics & power in America. Along with many women I was a part of this evolutionary experience. It was an incredibly transformational time. It is important to note that this took place for 40 plus years in The United States. Many women brought an honoring of girls & women into public consciousness in significant ways which influenced education, health care, religion, the rights of women in the workplace, family dynamics & more. We were visible, audible & took initiatives that led to real change. The backlash that we are seeing now is at least in part to the strides that many women made in these four decades. I am very much looking forward to Dr. Baring's book when it is published..
