Hike-and-Fly Brecon Beacons
A high pressure day in November with a forecast for very light winds. I took this opportunity for a Hike-and-Fly from the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons, South Wales. I hope this video captures this special day and inspires you with your hike and fly adventures.
A big thank you to @sportphoto.wales for the additional video footage.

Lyrics:
Make no sound
Ear to ground
Darkened skies are on their way
Head in clouds
Thunder sounds
Find me every last escape
Help me understand how we rise until we fall
Pleading head in hands I want it all, I want it all
Help me understand how we rise until we fall
Broken heart of sand I want it all, I want it all

A great couple of weeks in Nepal with Isi, 18 years old and after just passing her Club Pilot qualification, this was a great place to explore as a new paraglider pilot.

Cross country flight on my paraglider using my local town as a thermal source.
Never saw anyone paragliding such far
Amazing! I had a trial flight last year in the Brecons and think I want to take it further. Would you suggest learning in the UK (with the unpredictable weather) or taking a more intensive course somewhere else in Europe?
Thank you. I would recommend using a UK based school, many offer courses abroad which are ideal for intensive learning. You could try Axis Paragliding (Abergavenny) they offer a two week course in Morocco the first on the beach, the second in the mountains, you would come back qualified and experienced to fly in a UK club environment. If you are local to the Brecons the other good school is Crickhowell paragliding. If your work is flexible you would be able to achieve learning in the UK within a few months. Good luck.
Wowww. Amazing..
That was awesome. I’ve hiked there a number of times but that took my breath away. Thanks for sharing. 🙂👍🏾
Where can I watch this film?
Such a good video mate! Iv never flown at the lakes but it's on the list! Im not so sure about all of those people waiting with phones out 😂 Thanks again

Glad you enjoyed it Bruce. Thank you.
Great video, thanks for sharing :-)
Superb adventure Steven - loved the Skywings articles and this film really sets the scene too. Nice one. Respect!
Is this your kid? Lucky to start her paragliding adventures in Nepal.
Yeah. Great to be coaching her.
Fantastic video! What a great capture of that feeling of adventure in Nepal. Thank you so much for sharing this. Really makes my day. It's on my saved list to watch again.
Thanks Sebastian. At the time this was a big step into the exciting adventures of VolBiv and had led to many more bigger adventures. However, these few days remain very special and I am so pleased I captured this memory.
@@toshmackintosh I see you are making/have made a movie about flying across Nepal. I will keep a look out for when it arrives in Canada. Just watched this vid again. I imagine you took off from Sarangkot and then headed to the green wall? You must have had quite a bit of hight to head from there to the north east. I was there in 2010/11 and days when I made it to the green wall and back were epic days for me. Must have been a bit of a leap of faith to go further east from there. How did you know there were emergency landing spots further NE? I guess worst case you walk a long way back to a road, but honestly this is what dreams are made of. Thanks for great video to spur the imagination in these covid times.
I love to come with you 🙏 first need to short 💷 really nice motivation video and great adventure ❤
Super 👌
This trailer is fabulous, really looking forward to the full adventure. Thank you so much for sharing :-)
I was following you and really inspired by your mad idea! It was something I would have loved to have done, but have to be realistic as you get older and your body doesnt do what it used to.... I have had a few mad adventures myself, and they are the spice of life. I hope you can get the film made Tosh.
That is lovely Tosh, really looking forward to seeing the whole film. I thought you were mad to go, but, what a trip, such memories.
hurry up then, get the rest of the film out :D can't wait
Awesome!!👍👍👍
