Hugo and Lucien, originally from Rouen, come from two apparently distinct universes, one comes from the brawling version of techno, that of hangars. The other is post-punk where the melodies are as much poetic landscapes as a cathartic invitation. After months of experimentation and a trip to Australia that was both physical and dreamlike, the duo La Dispatch was born.
Suicide, New Order or even DAF, these two childhood friends have a guiding principle: the groove and radicality of the UK scene, the dark demand of new-wave and the lightness of psychedelia.
Today in Bordeaux, the group launched their first EP at the beginning of October, accompanied by a series of concerts across France to share stage experiences in their image: exciting and surprising.
