Did Jesus EVER Claim to Be God? Evidence from Scripture
Did Jesus EVER claim to be God? Uncover the evidence! We explore scripture to reveal how Jesus used the same language as God in the Old Testament, hinting at His divine nature. Learn about the powerful phrase "I am He"...ANI HU (אני־הוא) and how Jesus' names like "The Good Shepherd" connect to the Old Testament. This video dives deep into the Bible to answer: Was Jesus truly God incarnate?
Key Points Covered:
Isaiah 48:12, 13 & 16 (KJV): God's eternal nature and His declaration of "I am He" (Ani Hu).
Jesus' Use of "I Am He" (Ani Hu): How Jesus echoes God's words in John 4:26, John 8:24, John 8:28, John 18:5, and John 18:8.
Old Testament Foundations: Understanding the Old Testament context to see Jesus' statements as claims of divine identity.
"I am He" ANI HU (אני־הוא) is distinct from "I am" EHYEH (אהיה)
Jesus' Divine Titles: Exploring titles like the Good Shepherd, the Light of the World, the Bread of Life, the Resurrection and the Life, and the Alpha and the Omega.

    i got a lot from 2 esdras look at this [2 esdras 2:15 The Lord says, “Behold, speak in the ears of my people the words of the prophecy which I will put in your mouth, 2 and cause them to be written on paper; for they are trustworthy and true. 3 Do not fear the plots against you, and do not be troubled by the unbelief of those who oppose you. 4 For every unbeliever shall die in his unbelief.” i got the sweetest answer to my prayers last night confirmation of all ive been doing and seeing it is amazing its all true. in old prophecy in 2 Esdras 2 its all in there everything Jesus showed me how to do. remember i met the 24 elders? my friends even it says are Jeremiah, and Isaiah and they are my best friends beside Jesus. I find this in the bible all over confirmation every day. and see miracles all day long confirming the word of God to me this is part of it ( i was singing this chapter in Isaiah 26 and found myself in an arena in heaven singing with Jeremiah, and Isaiah, and Ezekiel (they actually came to help me ). Later they all sang with me. Heres what the verse says They advised God to sanctify and send twelve trees full of fruit healing for us and all kinds of good things sounds like the rapture boat maybe it has fields and flowers. Mountains of children) “For thy help will I send my servants Esay and Jeremy, after whose counsel I have sanctified and prepared for thee twelve trees laden with divers fruits And as many fountains flowing with milk and honey, and seven mighty mountains, whereupon there grow roses and lilies, whereby I will fill thy children with joy.” (He taught me how to judge with the word and gave me a new name Mercy and Justice) Do right to the widow, judge for the fatherless, give to the poor, defend the orphan, clothe the naked, (Get everybody healed He tells me often) Heal the broken and the weak, laugh not a lame man to scorn, defend the maimed, and let the blind man come into the sight of my clearness (pass out the gifts He gave me to help to old and young psalms 68 He gave me gifts for everyone) Keep the old and young within thy walls. (respect the dead in Christ the cloud of witnesses who surround us) Wheresoever thou findest the dead, take them and bury them, and I will give thee the first place in my resurrection. (rest in God He will take care of us) Abide still, O my people, and take thy rest, for thy quietness still come. (give milk messages and meat to get people established) Nourish thy children, O thou good nurse; stablish their feet. (all your friends i gave you wont perish these are the special jewels i met recently) As for the servants whom I have given thee, there shall not one of them perish; for I will require them from among thy number. (Dont be weary you laugh in joy God tells me jokes from the bible. and have all you need Be not weary: for when the day of trouble and heaviness cometh, others shall weep and be sorrowful, but thou shalt be merry and have abundance. (Everyone will envy you but be unable to stand against you. Joseph and Davids brothers hated them too The heathen shall envy thee, but they shall be able to do nothing against thee, saith the Lord. (He covered me with His robe and sang to me about hiding me in His hands and i must be hidden people calling me and cant recognize me) My hands shall cover thee, so that thy children shall not see hell. (He delivered me from my enemies and will again) Be joyful, O thou mother, with thy children; for I will deliver thee, saith the Lord. (remember the dead children for i will bring them back and be merciful to them my wells will run over and i will not fail them Jesus gave me 7 scripture songs to raise the dead in Christ Isaiah 26 and Ezekiel 37 sing with me!) Remember thy children that sleep, for I shall bring them out of the sides of the earth, and shew mercy unto them: for I am merciful, saith the Lord Almighty. (Hug them until i come and show your Mercy to them My first new name was mercy now i get new ones every day Hayah wassa is my favorite breath of the Amen) Embrace thy children until I come and shew mercy unto them: for my wells run over, and my grace shall not fail. (like Esdras i get assigned to go check on people in churches live streams, youtube videos, discord and most of them kick me out and they despise Jesus their hearts are far from Him if they do that) I Esdras received a charge of the Lord upon the mount Oreb, that I should go unto Israel; but when I came unto them, they set me at nought, and despised the commandment of the Lord. Thus says the Lord God: 22 “My right hand will not spare the sinners, and my sword will not cease from those who shed innocent blood on earth.” 23 And a fire will go forth from his wrath, and will consume the foundations of the earth, and the sinners, like straw that is kindled. 24 “Woe to those who sin and do not observe my commandments,” says the Lord; 25 “I will not spare them. Depart, you faithless children! Do not pollute my sanctuary.” 26 For the Lord knows all who transgress against him; therefore he will hand them over to death and slaughter. 27 For now calamities have come upon the whole earth, and you shall remain in them; for God will not deliver you, because you have sinned against him.

    As a man of African decent I wonder if you've read the babel passages that support and allow for slayvery yet? (Exd. 21) If you have than why would you endorse such an immoral and hypocritic book? also where is your dignity and self respect?

    • @gclmedia
      @gclmedia 6 годин тому

      Are you referring to the book that does not shy away from addressing injustices and truthfully portrays the human condition? The one that reveals our fallen state and the reason we need a Savior? The one that depicts triumph over evil and the vindication of an oppressed people? The one that shows how God had not forgotten those who were enslaved and delivered them? If that’s the book you’re referring to, then yes, I endorse it wholeheartedly. Regarding your personal attack on my dignity and self-respect, my belief in the Bible is rooted in its message of hope, redemption, and justice. It acknowledges human flaws and injustices while also providing a path to righteousness and demonstrating God's enduring love and deliverance. My dignity and self-respect are strengthened by this understanding and the transformative power of its teachings.

As a black man, I find it really weird that you worship any god that sat there for hundreds of years as your ancestors were raped, whipped, lynched, forced into slave ships in cramped conditions sitting in their own feces for weeks, pregnant women being thrown overboard for being too much hassle, feed cut off, do I need to go on? They settled of 73 book which where re-examined throughout future church councils and we’re all reaffirmed Compare that to the reformers when they settled on their Bible (King James) and you will see when these books were removed. I noticed that the KJV changed the translation in the Gospel of Mark. In the Septuagint, which is still the oldest translation, the naked young man with Jesus who ran away when the Romans arrested Jesus is an incorrect translation because the Septuagint says that it was a “naked little boy” 🧒 and not a naked young man 🤮

    • @gclmedia
      @gclmedia 3 дні тому

      Thank you for watching and engaging. It’s important for me to respond to your comment to ensure clarity. The Greek word translated as “young man” in Mark 14:51-52 is νεανίσκος (neaniskos), which typically describes a male in his youth, usually under forty. If the text were referring to a “little boy,” such as Jesus at 12 years old, the term used would be παῖς (pais). This term, found in Luke 2:44, is closely related to παιδίον (paidion) and can mean “child” or “boy.” It would be misleading to claim that the Septuagint states “Little Boy” in this context, as it uses the term νεανίσκος (neaniskos).

      @gclmedia 3 дні тому

      @Gmac6503 Thank you for engaging. I believe @SPQR748 was satisfied with my answer. I am not a university professor specializing in classical Greek, but I have studied Biblical Greek for almost two decades. Although I don't parade my credentials, if you've watched any of my videos, you know I never mention them because they mean nothing. It's the time I've spent studying the word of God that really matters. For context, I studied Theology at Mary Baldwin, Biblical Studies at Liberty University, and Rawlings School of Divinity, and I am currently pursuing my PhD in Biblical Studies at CIU. Adela Yarbro Collins is a prominent scholar in New Testament studies, not specifically in Greek. However, like in my work, she too has done extensive research in Koine Greek, which is essential for the research and interpretation of New Testament texts.

As Christianity spread throughout the Roman Empire, the Greek "βιβλία" (biblía) was adopted into Latin and then entered Old English as "bībel" or "bīble," exclusively referring to the sacred Christian scriptures. The transition from "Biblia" to "Bible" demonstrates the nuanced linguistic evolution and the influence of Latin on the development of English. The Apocrypha was in the 1611 King James Bible. It wasn't removed until the 1800s, several centuries after the Protestant Reformation. I used to avoid the Apocrypha until October 31, 2017, the 500the Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation which didn't go unnoticed in the Presbyterian church. I started studying Church history, something many Protestants don't do despite all of our Bible study. That's when I began to wonder if its removal was a mistake because the seeds of what are now cults began to form - Mormonism, Millerites, from which came the SDA Church, Charles Taze Russell, Mary Baker Eddy and others. I began to wonder if there was something in or about the Apocrypha that would've prevented this. The Apocrypha isn't canon but I like the attitude of the Ethiopian Church, which has one of the oldest canons of scripture and 88 books. These books aren't inspired but the writers of scripture knew its contents and so should we to understand the context in which they were writing.

While it’s true that many ancient civilizations, including the Sumerians, have texts that predate the Bible, it’s important to clarify a few points. The Bible was NOT translated from Sumerian cuneiform tablets. Ancient texts like the Enuma Elish, the Epic of Gilgamesh, and others certainly provide fascinating parallels and cultural context to biblical stories, suggest that the biblical authors were aware of these storieS we see one such example explicitly in the encounter between Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. Contrary to your belief, the Bible is a very distinct set of texts with its own theological messages and purposes.

And as Iesus passed by, he saw a man which was blinde from his birth. 2. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sinne, this man, or his parents, that he was borne blinde? 3. Iesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be shewed on him. 4. Assoone as he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spettle, and anointed the eyes of the blinde with the clay, 7. And sayd unto him, Go wash in the poole of Siloam, (which by interpretation signifieth Sent.) Hee went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing. King James Version (John 9:1-7): 1. And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. 2. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3. Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. 4. I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. 5. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 6. When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 7. And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing. The narrative is essentially the same, with only minor differences in word choice and phrasing. I don’t see that there is any elongation or additional content in the Geneva Bible compared to the KJV in this passage.

      @@gmac6503 Actually, "I AM" is indeed a name. In Exodus 3:14, God reveals Himself to Moses as "I AM WHO I AM" and instructs Moses to tell the Israelites, "I AM has sent me to you." In the New Testament Jesus makes several "I AM" statements in the Gospel of John (e.g., John 8:58, "Before Abraham was, I am"), which are understood as references to the divine name in Exodus. In John 10:30, Jesus says, "I and the Father are one," indicating His divine identity. The early Christians and New Testament authors clearly believed in Jesus' divinity (e.g., Philippians 2:6-11, Hebrews 1:3). The Council of Nicaea in 325 AD "AFFIRMED," rather than invented, the belief in Jesus' divinity, which had been a foundational aspect of Christian faith from the beginning. By highlighting how Jesus uses the same divine language found in the Old Testament, such as "I am he," it becomes clear that he is directly identifying himself as God. The connections drawn between Jesus' statements and the passages in Isaiah are particularly compelling. This video makes a strong case for the divinity of Christ by demonstrating how his words and actions align with the Eternal, all-powerful God revealed throughout the Bible. • @gclmedia
      @gclmedia 6 днів тому

      Thank you for your comment. I appreciate the opportunity to clarify some important points regarding the history and origins of the King James Bible (KJV). Contrary to your claim, the KJV was not based on the Douay-Rheims Bible. The Douay-Rheims Bible an English translation of the Latin Vulgate made by Catholic scholars. Instead, the KJV was translated directly from the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts with the base of the Bishop's Bible by wåy of the Tyndale. Specifically, the translators of the KJV primarily used the Masoretic Text for the Old Testament and the Textus Receptus for the New Testament, ensuring they worked from the original languages rather than Latin texts. St. Jerome directly translated the Vulgate, St. Jerome's translation of the Bible into Latin, into the Douay-Rheims Bible in 1609. However, this Catholic translation is distinct from the King James Bible and is not its source. A large and diverse committee of scholars produced the KJV, cross-checking and reviewing each other's work to ensure accuracy and faithfulness to the original texts. This rigorous process helped to establish its lasting reputation. Despite being contemporaneous, the Douay-Rheims Bible and the King James Bible translated from different source texts, representing distinct traditions within the Christian faith. The KJV's reliance on Hebrew and Greek manuscripts differentiates it from the Douay-Rheims, which was a translation from St. Jerome’s Latin Vulgate. It was a significant work in its own right and became the standard Bible of the Western Christian Church for many centuries. However, the KJV translators aimed to return to the earliest available texts in their original languages rather than relying on the Latin Vulgate. I hope this helps clarify the origins and sources of the King James Bible. Thank you for engaging in this discussion.

    Anyone with a modicum of common sense or actual knowledge of, would realize that King James himself didn’t translate the KJV! Plus it’s known that he commissioned the work! Yet despite those things I’m to understand that at least two changes were made, so as not to inflame the King! One was the word TYRANT, because the king was considered one by many, the other had to do with the church(I forget), sure both didn’t really have a significant impact on the understanding of scripture but they were changes, something which some believe could never happen! Furthermore it must be evident that with the passage of time and discoveries over the centuries as well as deeper understanding of the Hebrew language, that there are mistranslations of words! Let me direct you to the 5thKind with Paul Wallis and UsefulCharts, both channels have interesting and informative content! All in all this was revealing for me! May I add that there is just a tad bit more nuance…The 1560 Geneva Bible, was the first and only to use the word “tyrant” to describe oppressive rulers. King James wasn’t born until June 19, 1566 (6 years after the Geneva was published) and he didn’t become King until 1603. That’s 43 years. 🤔So it definitely was not a direct slight to KJ. Earlier translations, such as the Wycliffe Bible (late 14th century) and the Tyndale Bible (early 16th century), typically used terms like “king,” “ruler,” or “prince” without the explicitly negative connotation carried by “tyrant.”

    Dearly beloved, I'd just like to share that the word "Church" was never the original ecclesiastical word used in the original manuscripts but rather it was congregation. The word Church comes from the word circe/kirke, which is a name for a goddess of sorcery (pharmakeia) who was skilled in the magic of transmutation, illusion and necromancy, and which the Bible clearly forbids. I also do not buy into the notion the 1611 we are presented with is the original, as there are so many inaccuracies, corruption and discrepancies. First one that stands out is the finding King James IV and I of Scotland was a black man of Jacobite blood. This doesn't match up with the European image presented to us in the first pages of the 1611 KJV bible.

      Blessing and thank you for watching and engaging. Although the words circe/kirke may appear to be similar to "cirice," using the English Alphabet but they are NOT! Completely different etymology. The English word "church" comes from the Old English "cirice," which is derived from the Greek word "kuriakē," meaning "of the Lord." This term has no connection to the goddess from Greek mythology associated with sorcery Circe (Kirke). While the Bible does forbid sorcery and related practices, this has absolutely no bearing on the etymology of the word "church." Circe/Kirke: figure from Greek mythology, known for her magical abilities Greek Mythology: Circe | English Church: Cirice Κίρκη (Kirke) | κυριακή (kuriakē) from κύριος (kyrios)

      @@gclmedia thank you but non of those words are biblical except the word Ekklesia εκκλησια - called out (ones...) All English versions have it wrong promoting a Roman Catholic concept where the clergy can control the masses with their Babylonian doctrines. This is the same with Protestant/Evangelical denominations. I am not a R/Catholic neither Protestant nor Evangelical (all with their "ism's). The Protestants/Evangelicals all claim that they are not R/Catholics but they have embraced/absorbed a large percentage of the RCC's doctrines. I trust the King Jesus Bible that I have. When it gets old and worn out. I buy a new one. I am trying to memorize the Word for life. Eternity will be in the new earth, not heaven. Please hold fast to the pure king James Bible and continue preaching the gospel. Hail. In righteousness, Jesus will judge and make war. Grace, mercy, and peace be multiplied to thee and thy family. I have been quite blessed. I would like to bless thee and thy family with some wisdom and knowledge that I have gleaned from the word of God. Please let me know if thou knowest these things. We shall be in the new earth for eternity, not heaven. In the new earth, we shall worship God in his new moons and sabbaths. We may eat lamb, beef, dove, etc. We shall be consumed if we eat swine (pork), chicken, turkey, duck, catfish, lobster, tuna, etc. Easter, sunday, and Christmas will send many false Christians to hell and the lake of fire. Galatians 4:8-11, Colossians 2:8,16,18. Isaiah 66:17,22,23,etc. Repent of thy deeds and forgive others. Wouldest thou celebrate the days of tabernacles with Christ our passover and other pure Christians? Have a good year! God bless thee and thy family.
