I study martial arts, Taichi, Qi Gong and Taoism in general for more than 30 years. This channel is about a self healing and well being method as used by the Taoists in ancient China. This method includes calisthenics exercises as in Taichi, breathing exercises as in Qi Gong and meditation techniques used for mental stabilization and body processes and metabolism regulation. The 5 energies refer to the 5 elements of Taoism that correspond in the body to the internal organs and is used as main theory in the Traditional Chinese Medicine. The 5 elements theory states that the body, mind and soul should be in a state of harmoniously balanced internal relationship. This harmony leads to the idea of central equilibrium which is a state obtained during Taichi practice, that carries out in everyday life and throughout all social relationships.

This video shows today's public lesson of master Zhang Haisong showing the partner applications of Taichi Yang style from Wang Yongquan school lineage. This lineage represents the old Yang style as inherited from Yang Jianhou and Yang Luchan. Here we have the first three forms, namely the Beginning Form, Pulling the Bird's Tail and Single Whip correct forms, stances, internal feelings and exter...

Bashanfan Shaolin Kungfu
This is the basic form of Ba Shan Fan Shaolin Kungfu. Ba Shan Fan means the Eight Lightning Strikes or the Eight Thunders. This kung fu system is originally from Shaolin and is very simple it has 8 fist strikes, 4 elbow strikes 6 kicks and 3 stances of which Ma Bu or horse stance is the main training exercise (I have a video on horse stance that I made several years ago).
Taichi Yang style 26 forms
This is the beginner form of our school on the Wang Yongquan lineage of Yang style. This form is a middle frame or middle circles because it has in its execution both large and small circles. The popular version of Yang style as taught by Yang Chengfu and spread by its students contains only the large circles, the small circles being removed.

Taichi performed with high and low postures

Allegedly Yang Luchan was performing Taichi under a table. This is a legend but here is an example of Yang Luchan training method of performing Taichi with very low postures.
The correct postures and moves of Yang style traditional Taichi Quan
In this video I show the first moves of Taichi of the Yang style. These moves are very similar to Chen style, although they have a distinct flavor of Yang style. The reason is that these are the correct moves and postures as performed by Yang Luchan, Yang Jianhou and Yang Chengfu before the simplification of the style for spreading to the masses. To prove this theory I bring receipts.

@@svcupc "The sound is very small, so I want to confirm with you: Every Wednesday morning from 10 to 12 o'clock, where is the location? How much does each teaching session cost?" Yes at Percy Perry Stadium (Town Centre Park ) in Coquitlam, our place is near the Baseball Playground. Free of charge.
@@ap2372 great thanks! and I assume I can just show up and join? no need to apply or register beforehand?

Greetings from Poland. I practice Chi Kung in park here. Alone 🌞 Peoples reactions are funny. Mostly they dont know what Im even doing - crazy Man, be careful 😉☯️🙏
@@stefanhuna641 I was doing that back in the day in Romania, doing qigong and taichi by myself. The only thing I regret was that I did not have a teacher and a method to follow.
@5energies640 I regret nothing I love QiGong. People are usualoy close minded so I dont care.
👍
I agree with you, me and my master are constantly challenged and pushed with hard force, so the Shen Yi Qi is still there but all energy is exacerbated to violence level, so this is the best response we can have to balance violence with softness and cruelty with kindness. 🤜💥😫🙏☯
I think that these kind of exercises can be very useful. But, having two people push one is sort of a trick that shouldn’t be done in taiji and gives the art a bad name. This is especially so when the first person pushing moves their feet away.
You are right, I was appalled too by these tests with 2 people pushing until I was at the receiving end of the push, so indeed the strength required to hold two or three people is increased significantly. The idea is just to feel how much strength you need to hold a body. In a real combat situation the opponent will always use its own weight against you, and it requires a lot of strength to support the opponent weight. The reality is that for real world applications you need to relax certain parts of the body but not all the body so you need to learn to transfer the power through the fascia and tendons, and you will realize this only when you test yourself. It is just the same like going to the gym and adding a couple of plates on the bar to test your muscle strength.
@@ap2372 I’m not a physicist, but look at the teacher pushing the guy. As he pushes, he moves his feet backwards. That’s not applying more force. Furthermore, there are different ways that people can push and I’ve experienced this numerous times. Many people will apply force until they feel resistance and then stop. That is what often happens in these kind of demos. As I wrote in my earlier post, this kind of demo proves nothing and just makes the taiji world look stupid. All you need is one person who is able to gradually and continuously increase their force to push on the other person. I’ve seen these demos with up to 10 people “pushing.” It’s nonsense.

if i lived 3h away I'd visit monthly for learning.
Taijiquan is definitely North style Wushu weaponery of fists with a Yi-Qi-Li Neijia engine. Geniously put together by Qi Jiguang molded by Chen Wangting into an furious expression of the 6 doors and raffinated to the point of stunning shockwaves by Yang, Wu , Ruyi( Shi Ming) ...
Hello Francois, this is the taichi style of Shi Ming, he was the student of Wang Yongquan which is the lineage standard bearer of old yang style which is the original style before split into Yang and Wu lineages.

The Taiji Tuishou that i know i learned it from mister Popov, awsome skills coped with a realist way of changing the direction only at perfect time and window of opportunity . This last minute Ace card in the sleeve saved me many times from complete enbarassement when i tested my Tuishou with more skilled than me practitionners.
👍👍👍👏👏👏bravo!
Very good! I might explain this as a "northern horse stance" (narrow, knees point forward), vs "southern horse stance" (wide, knees point sideward) that you showed in the beginning.
That's correct the northern styles have this narrow stance but in my opinion and experience is better for building strength than the wide stance.
@@5energies Actually, if done correctly, the southern stance builds strength and stability, and the northern stance builds flexibility. So the southern is built to be more static, and opens the kua very well. The northern is built to be in motion, and focuses on opening both the front and back of the hips. Both have advantages, I train both because you get more development, and situationally they have different purposes.
Thank u
Thanks so much. That’s an excellent instruction
The correct way?! Is it different from the many videos we saw about horse stance?
Yes is very different. Try it and see for yourself the difference!
nice video! 👍👏
You move smoothly.
