I always LOVED the sound of the JT8D 217 and 219 engines on the MD80s they were sooo easy to identify they had a unique distinctive sound too them apart from other JT8D engines 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯 I miss the MD80s soooooo much 😢😢😢😢😢😢😞😞😞😞😞😞😞

@@AnthonyPaul99 let me know when you are getting your flight from Tampa International or a flight Departing Tampa International on Southwest airlines if it's departing or arriving at TPA in the near future I'll try to capture the plane if I'm even going that way passing by Tampa International but sometimes Southwest airlines departures are later and I miss the plane capture from Columbus or back to Columbus Ohio from Tampa International Southwest airlines even it's 737 max 8 I'll still get the plane

My first flight was out of this airport, and I literally live off Hillsborough Avenue, so I go under the airplanes on my way to work everyday. Its cool seeing the approach from the other side where you go over the water. I normally see them from Hillsborough Avenue.

@@AnthonyPaul99Everytime I say Tampa International it's my favorite airport in the sunshine State and the other Florida airports are my least favorite Tampa International I rate it a 10 or a 59 higher that's how much I like Tampa International I gave it a 10 or a 59
@@AnthonyPaul99still no Southwest flights to TPA Tampa yet In the future I know that some other airports you visit to in the sunshine state of Florida fort Myers fort Lauderdale and then TPA Tampa then back to Columbus CMH the Southwest 737-800s and 737 max 8 is so smooth to ride it's not like the 737-700s Southwest planes I don't like the 737-700s just the 737-800s and 737 Max 8 only airport Tampa International and CMH Columbus

Great video. I just flew a MAX 8 from Columbus to Vegas last week. The only noticeable difference from the MAX to the 800 on southwest in my opinion is the lighting and maybe the MAX is slightly quieter in the cabin.

Well worth the ride. Both the 800 and MAX-8 are equally nice - My mom very much prefers the MAX-8 over the 700’s!

I was born in Marion, Ohio on New Years Day, 1945, we moved to Columbus in July, 1955. I flew from Port Columbus on Memorial Day 1965 to San Antonio Texas after being inducted into the United States Air Force and came back to Columbus in December, 1968. My last flight was in July of 1995. I haven't flown anywhere since ! All the in flight videos take me up again therefore I love them !! I learned to fly from (Port Columbus) John Glenn international at Lane aviation. I now live in Greenville, South Carolina !

Yes, we stayed at a nearby Residence Inn before taking the train, then a Taxi over to Port Miami the next day!
