CCLB SRW 2017 F-350 fully loaded Lariat. Only mods are a leveling kit, 35" tires (1/2" taller than factory), and the addition of the Edge Products Insight CTS2 with the expandable pyro mounted in the rt up pipe, next to the factory sensor. All emissions components are in tact, and fully functional. This is just a good baseline reference to see where factory EGT's can get. ...and yes, the sensor...

Looks like its time to bob it with your new scars!
Thats good
Damn thats moving!
💪😎
My 21 runs 14 flat bone stock in the quarter
That's a big fast truck! Is there speed limiter at 110mph like on the F150?
98 mph
8 seconds to 60… meh
Slow.
Only goes 100 mph? Weak.
Looks about like my 99 7.3
That was awesome my f150 could never😂
7.6 seconds
Powerstroke or l5p faster and gotta explain why.
6.7s are ok, but the fact that the cylinder walls are as thin as possible combined with the delicate fuel system and oil leaks all over, no thanks
Is this pedal to the floor, or partial throttle. It’s surprising it would shift so early if it’s flat out
You really don't need to rev a diesel out like a gas engine. You can shift it in the lower rpms, which is where diesels usually make the most torque, and you'll accelerate faster than just revving it out.
Its like watching paint dry
That's wheel spin theirs no way!
Truck is in 4 high. I make around 720 at the crank in my 2019 and i promise you’ve never felt that kind of speed in something that size unless you’ve been on the japanese bullet train.
@@jacoober4546 crazy bro, hope u got good meat on those wheels, I bet you could beat a stock mustang gt
7.5 sec 0-60 holy shit especially after 60 this thing flies!!!
I have a 21 6.7 bone stock it’s 0-60 in 5.6
@@Reggiestreet I doubt it maybe downhill with a tailwind
Things a animal
Was that 0-60 in about 6 seconds???
That's a pretty slow 0-60. Pretty sure my buddy's stock 5.4 is faster 😂😂
Meanwhile the 5.4 can’t keep spark plugs in the head or the exhaust manifold from leaking but you’re right let’s compare an f350 to a piece of shit 5.4
truck has 300miles on the odometer….trans is still learning and he shouldn’t be beating on it that hard already
Ford's best consistent diesel (which they built inhouse) since the 7.3 IH. Plus Ford copied GM Isuzu with the Lbz Lmm.
🤣 not
Literally smoked him
Probably faster and quicker if you turn off the Traction Control
Also turn off advance trac and lock the rear diff. Posi scratch!
I'm rocking gdp tune sotf switch tht goes from level 1-5 5 being extra 175hp- 200hp on my 19 alumiduty seems to pull exact same in this video maybe quicker💪😂🤙
skipped 4th gear lol
Slow
Its a 6k pound truck bro wtf are you on about
It's 7.5 to 60.........pretty good for such a heavy vehicle
@@ElegantPotatoes 6,000. Shit i own one and thats a 9,000 pound bitch lol.
@@joebartell3656 Was about to say… my 09 srw is right at 8,000 😂
@@austincoombs3674 weighed my on a scale. 8,865lbs crew cab short bed srw lariat 2017 f250 6.7 powerstroke
It probably weighs twice as much as the car
Real loud
Amazing it can do that without exceeding 3K
Stays in torque band
Mines the same way, it really never spins above 3k I guess it would under a super heavy load.
Now that is one impressive Excursion!!!!!
Slow
ARE YOU KIDDING
@@onehundred-official we have 6.6 2500 HD silverado 2018 and and its does it in 6.5 seconds
@@Xoxo27285 what's done to it? And chevies weigh a little less dont they?
@@XM151 all stock, i put it in 4x4, traction off all the way, i press the tow button, i hold the brakes hard before launching the car and press the gas at the same time to 2k rpm, then i release the brakes and floor it
@@Xoxo27285 Imran I'm not surprised a duramax is faster but a powerstroke and cummins makes more torque
Just bought one, it blows me away how fast it is.
Which one is faster, the 6.7 diesel or the new 7.3 gas?
@@abdullahalsulieman2096 New drove the gas but the diesel would destroy it. Stupid fast, if you work the pedal right and get it in the torque curve it is by far the fastest diesel out there from factory. If you buy one get the 22 though the 20 was full of problems. Electrical mainly, exhaust break to shift points slamming. 4x4 highway speed i had a howl, front wheel hub seal went. Pulled hard to the right when breaking hard, pretty sure i had a lemon. I traded mine in a year after i bought it.
I have a 17 6.7 deleted and tuned and it doesn’t get passed on the highway by other trucks. Had a guy pull up and race me in a eco boost that was tuned and the next light we pulled up at… he said, “damn that things fast” lol. Love my truck. Couldn’t drive another truck at this point
My 21 has been flawless I’ve been extremely hard on it and it’s 14 seconds stock in the quarter
Huge torque to maintain acceleration like that at such low rpm. Pretty cool
a 2021 f350 dually 6.7 will do a rolling burnout with advanced trac off. Absolutely insane amount of torque from factory. Its hilarious to do a burnout in a dually ~1050 lb-ft torque @ 1600 rpm ~476 hp @ 2600 rpm But with a high pressure fuel pump and compound turbos, it can push +/-700 hp which is insane for stock internals. I couldn't imagine how much torque it would make after those upgrades.
they come stock with 1000
That's unbelievably fast
I love how it just nope'd 4th gear and skipped straight to 5th.
The 10 speeds do that. Mine normally shifts from 1,3,5,7,8,9,10. Unless I'm in tow haul pulling
It nope’d 1st gear also
In sport mode I believe it uses every gear
Because I wanted 'likes' and return comments.
😭😭😭😭😡😫
Seems like you ran into a little snag there around 30mph?
It went from 3rd gear to 5th
@@nickjurgensen4557 totally normal for the 10 speeds to skip gears man literally programmed to do so
Thing just never stops pulling, I bet it'd bury the speedometer with ease if it didn't have a limiter on it.
Damn, look at those boost pressures! Not what I'd do with a brand new truck, especially before being broke in but thanks for sharing.
The first 300 miles had very minimal idling, and was driven nicely, mostly under half throttle. It'll continue to take it easy 95% of the time until it hits 1000 miles, so I feel pretty good about it. The best thing about this, is it was a special order truck, so it was only at the dealership long enough for a PDI, then on to me. Not to be flogged by all the lookie-loos wanting to try out the new powertrain.
My 2017 F-350 flat bed work truck has seen max everything since day one doing so daily and is still going strong. Hauling 8k lbs on the back regularly. It was built for it.
High cylinder pressures help seat the rings. ..much like bedding in new brakes... Nothing else to be "broken in". Driving it easy doesn't help the rings at all.
@@Treyk901 It was built for it, it's also meant to have a proper break in. It may be fine, but for how long, and how much better could it be with a break in? Most may be fine running hard out the gate but engineers take a lot of different variables into account as well as the metallurgy of different components. When they make a recommendation I would assume it's a well thought out one.
Justin C. Ever noticed how all new cars have some mileage already on them? How do you think those miles got there?
You can take the whole family for a 120mph pass!
Wow, that is crazy. I use an edge as well. I monitor #1 and #4...never seen temps over 1150 at tail pipe while...towing and during regen
Those temps you've been monitoring are used exclusively by the PCM to monitor the exhaust filter cleaning status. The temps there have very little to do with exhaust temp at the engine. It sure is a great monitor though. The temp you need to watch is usually called EGRTA, or exhaust gas temp "A", which is the actual temp of the exhaust coming from the manifold, into the turbo
Slow
I'm new to this. But yeah, did you blow your truck up yet? Or is that a normal temperature when pulling? Most of what I read says that's not good.
That's standard operating temp on all the "newer" diesels. Despite the brand, they all run, and maintain just over 1400* without worry. ...and no, it hasn't blown up, 60K miles of abuse later.
How do you like the Edge so far? I just picked up at 2019 XLT and am considering the Edge CTS2. Are you able to monitor the EGT's just by using the OBD II port or did you have to add something to view them on the CTS2? Thank you!
The factory EGT sensor works well for stock applications. When custom tuned, some times the tuning kills the EGT signal to the gauge, in which case, we just add the Edge accessories pyrometer kit
The truck was not in regen. The whole purpose of the test was to see how hot the egt's would get on a stock, unmodified truck. The tcm controlled the shifting, and manually manipulating it would've skewed test results.
use a lower gear
No thanks. That would've invalidated the test results.
I have never seen one of these new powerstrokes go over 100. Can u not remove the speed limiter ???🤔
Nick Robinson it goes well over 100mph, just that the needle doesnt
jetjoey19 So does the the digital one stop with the needle 🤨❓
Nick Robinson yes, the digital speedo only goes to 100mph as well, its b.s. but judging by rpms I know it goes passed 100
