From all studio monitors I've tested and mixed tracks on my own, the Yamaha MSP series made the best results - and they are kinda affordable for their huge value. Even with the smallest Yamaha MSP studio monitors of this series, the MSP3 (safe flat frequency range from around 65 Hz to over 20000 Hz), you can create highly accurate mixes. Even the smallest mistakes in mixing (especially the slightest exaggeration of reverb or nasty frequency bumps) will be pushed directly in your face and in your ears. My freshly uploaded Goldfinger remix was the first big remix I've mixed on my still kinda new Yamaha MSP3 studio monitors. Feel free to compare the mixing quality of this track in context of my former remixes. This one track sounds also good on all the other listening devices like other studio monitor speakers (even the famous and kinda expensive Neumann studio monitors), hi-fi systems, car radio, MP3 player etc.

Is it better than HS series
You can rely on monitor speaker how much your recorded sound comes out originally and naturally. Unfortunately MSP is discotinued now so I suggest you get HS which is bigger size one as much as possible.
