This was an early Winter sunrise, and these fluffy clouds against a midnight blue hue felt like large eyes peeking out, before the sun appeared on the distant horizon. The mantra is based in E major, which is such a complex, stable key, it has always been used for vibrant preludes and fugues by Bach, and I gravitated towards it, my fingers also contain the memory of Mendelssohn's Rondo capriccioso in E major/E minor, Op. 14, all which speak to me of these 'large eyes'!

Learn the names of the Divine Mother with me! This is a series of daily Mantras. I’m composing Sanskrit Songs, (more or less) daily, in tune with a Fire Yagam in the name of Sri Lalitha Sahasranamam in South India, which took place for 1000 days. The final celebration, the last of the Goddess Names took place in South India, on July 1 2024. I entered this meditative project with Name 807, and it is quickly becoming a source of peaceful music videos to heal and restore one’s being.
