Wow a very moving video, I bought a 2007 XK-R 4.2 hardtop, changed to exhaust to make it growl more, if I feel down or depressed just jump in it push that button and feel the pain and anxiety go away. I will never buy an electric car other than Scalectric and if the government bans combustion engines completely, I either walk or emigrate and take my car with me.

Jay Leno hit the nail on the head when he said, At some point we’ll all have an EV, hydrogen or another zero emissions vehicle but for those who love the ICE, we’ll use them like people did when we moved from horses to cars. People will have a petrol car un-used through the week but at weekend, they will be clean and readied for fun. Having owned three X308 generation Jaguars, I’m surprised at the narrator’s account of poor reliability and high operating costs. This is the first and only time I have heard such a complaint about the 1997-2013 cars: the XK two-seaters and XJ sedans. Ford invested billions making Jaguars reliable, and owners of this generation benefitted. Some plastic components in the timing chain and water pump needed replacement with metal versions under warranty, but once dealt with, these cars were leagues ahead of their German rivals in the area of operating costs. At more than 150k miles, my XJR sedan was still going strong when I sold it to a younger “petrolhead.” If the intention is to demonstrate a V8’s “roar,” the naturally aspirated version in the XK shown here is actually rather tepid, at 270-odd horsepower, with an exceptionally muted exhaust. Ironically, the V8 thrill he attempts to evoke is wonderfully realized in its sibling, the supercharged XKR. That car also purrs around town, but give it some Wellie and the blower kicks in with a demonic howl. That car makes its driver feel like James Bond, whereas the naturally aspirated version shown here is more reminiscent of Pussy Galore.

Many are predicting that all electric cars will be the end of Jaguar. We shall see. Long live the V8 internal combustion engine.

Nice looking car, I like everything about it except the rear lights, they look a little thin to balance the mass of the car, I think it would look better with traditional circular units.

It makes remember Jaguar CX-75. Beautiful car though!

I thought I was watching love story movie, v8 will remain on the road, unless the men with black suits make laws that petrol cars will not be allowed to re register and implement high taxes on them, any way, they have changed our way of living and the goal is to become robots in the shadow system, so if you still have v8 or even v12, your not allowed to enjoy

I watched this when you released it. Now I have one. It has its issues but they are outweighed by the 500 miles I do every 2 weeks in it. It's my time. I just settle in and enjoy. Amazing.
