good vid ... nice piece of kit...I also use a Hori Hori & my pinpointer was always attached to my jacket but dropped into a side pocket on my trousers which is not convenient . I have just bought a vest which I had to adapt to take my XP MI - 6 Pinpointer. I wish I had the funds to make & sell these vests because the design of some equipment is p*ss poor in my opinion, in my vest there is two back zipped large pockets but because it is too short up the back you cannot reach them to unzip /zip to gain access! meaning you have to take the bloody thing off to get at them.. if it was made longer down to the waist then no probs at all.. :) anyway rant over :) :) out of your original vid what are you now using.. have you modified your vest ? maybe make another vid about it :) ATB :)

Looks like a cloth tag. They used to put them on bolts of cloth to identify the maker. Might be wrong.

Good to see you Dean. Found one of those spade guinea tokens a couple of years back. Turned out to be the version the actual Gold guinea was copied from. Found this out on researching it at the time and identified it from the lettering. Other tokens were after this and usually dated earlier than the manufacture date to appear older. On that note. I'm off to sleep. Just finished night shift 😄

Superb finds congrats. I swapped from Nokta to XP January just gone, i know have a Deus ll. I found it a little overwhelming to begin with. I mean it's a hell of a machine but the features the thing has, it's a good job the manual is as good as it is. The difference in the tones was the main thing but i have started to get into it now. I have had 2 really good targets so far. Myself and a friend have been searching an old Sanitorium in Shropshire and the first good find i had was a Brooch. It is 18 carat with Diamonds and Emeralds, i was shaking when i unearthed it. The second was a Masonic ring, 14 carat and it has the compass and set square in enamel. Probably 2 of the best finds i have ever had and in so short succession and it was when i changed my machine. A testament to how good the XP Deus are. I'm a big fan of your channel by the way Dean, thanks for sharing.

Nice vid mate. That sort of age tip - just be a bit careful about old syringe heads that were discarded. I've dug tips that age before and had the rather unfortunate experience of finding old, steel syringe heads discarded in tins and old pots.

The pipe is amazing. I remember bubble pipes as a kid... except they were made of plastic lol

Nice Silver there Dean. Looking forward to getting out again soon. Detectival was awesome. No great finds overall but a semi-detailed half cut short cross, a pretty worn Roman Minim and a lovely wee bag seal being my top 3. Some nice bits came up though over the weekend but the event itself was really good. Sociable and friendly to say the least 🙂. Hope you is well.
