I Wish Nickelodeon At Kings Island Can Come Back

I’m so glad this video exists! I lived in Mason around this time and Kings Island was my childhood 🥹

Seeing this clip brought tears to my eyes. I used to live in Mason OH from when I was about 4 until I was 7 almost 8 and would go here every summer. I grew up with Nickelodeon and absolutely LOVED coming to Kings Island for this. Not that it’d matter now for me, but I did prefer when the kids area was Nickelodeon themed compared to ‘Planet Snoopy’ which is what it is now just like all the other Cedar Fair parks.

I’ll never understand why they chose THE PEANUTS now, I know different companies and what not with cedar point owning KI but man they took so many people’s childhood.

i miss it so much :,) i looked this up to reminisce , i went here around the same time and age as the girls in the video. i wish kings island was still nickelodeon themed.

2007: Cedar Fair's first full year operating the park. The park was still in its transition from Paramount to Cedar Fair. There was lots of excitement in the Ohio amusement park industry that year as it was the first year you could go to both Kings Island and Cedar Point in the same year (along with Geauga Lake, but unfortunately it closed after 2007). You also had Firehawk opening at Kings Island and Maverick opening at Cedar Point.

Paramount's Kings Island, WAY back then was probably the parks peak prime/golden years. Goddamnit Cedar Fair, goddamnit Paramount, you really fucked everything up...
