How to Balance & Tune Idle Triple Weber Carburettors
In this video, we show you how to do a basic tune on carburettor balancing, idle mixtures and idle speed on a Triple Weber Carb setup. This set is on a 202 in an EJ/EK engine bay.

Yes, the Weber street carb will work just fine with a 4-7 PSI pump. it should also be mentioned that the carb and car will also perform just as good with 3PSI, and will reduce the effect and symptoms of flooding when they occur.

My idle mixture screws do not respond to change the value on the synchrometer like that, no visible chanege in fact.
Hi. Please check to identify the right adjusting screws: Idle speed screw, bypass screw (not demonstrated in this clip), and intercarb balance screw (on floating carb linkages) will adjust air flow on the syncrometer. Idle mixture screws will alter fuel mixture strength (not measured with the syncrometer)

Hi. Not sure of your question; if by "standard" you mean "Factory spec": then refer to your manual, as different models/distributors will have different specs. If engine is modified, then a custom tune is required.

Hello. The engine here was a 192CID red motor modified. The Holley was a custom 330CFM 2brl street carburettor.
What is the best balance figure ..is it 10 ?
Hi. Best is to have the figure the SAME. actual figure relates to idle speed, set idle to desired RPM.

Can't hear anything over the engine sound
Make sure your engine is completely up to temperature that's also very important it's hot as it's supposed to be.

What did you do with the plug for the old carby? I’ve got an issue with mine. My carby on the car has a 4 prong plug and the cars harness is a 2 prong plug
Hello. Sorry for the delay, we don't monitor UA-cam everyday. Feel free to call our tech team - BH 07 54933788. The Holley does not have or need electric supply, so we just tape up the plug to keep it water tight.
To wire up a factory carb, you can also replace the factory harness with a common type from REPCO etc, call tech help for correct wiring.
which pertronix unit do you use for the tb42? 1762LS or 1761?
Hello. Both units are popular. The 1762LS is easier to install and has thousands of them running world wide with no problems; BUT it will add an extra risk of bad/weak signal. Some have reported this happen and we have experienced a bad one with our customers. Having said that, EVERY automotive part and product on the market is not immune to faults. I have fitted the 1761 to my personal Patrol, as I don't have a problem with grinding the collar down to fit it.
Hi can you help, my weber dcoe 40 (italian) leaks fuel after a hot run from the O Ring, between manifold and carb..... im running the smallest facet fuel pump so not sure it is the fuel pressure..... and its only after the engine shuts down... look forward to your thoughts
what is the benefit of this? I have a mint 1995 y60 tb42 with 10, 000 km on odo...the engine is showroom with dust only

With su carbs if they have a lifting pin press that (if they don't a screwdriver to lift up the damper works) if the revs drop the mixture is lean if the revs increase and stay increased it is rich and if it increases then drops the mixture is correct
Who ever is thinking of getting one just get a Holley sniper you could turbo it
What manifold do you run
Good vid. I am working with a Holley R9563 two barrel on a 1974 2.3l Ford engine. The problem is that when I make the adjustments, it idles just fine sitting in the garage. On the road, it stumbles and dies when I slow and stop. Any thoughts? Thanks

Question that metal scoop bit u took out of the manifold at (3.20) what is it and is it needed as mine would move under full throttle and get stuck in the secondary butterfly making it get stuck open and full rev i cant find any info anywhere about it and ur video is the only one that iv seen it any help would be appreciated thank you

set your timing, THEN adjust the carb. if you try adjusting the carb then the timing you’re just going to be chasing your tail…
