    I like the idea but I don't like that you can't remove them without cutting ur top plate welds . I would have got some industrial clamps or something. Its Good concept though

    What did you use to build your custom exhaust

    • @creativecreations5386
      @creativecreations5386 4 місяці тому

      I cut the old exhaust tube off of the muffler and welded it to a 3" pipe, this way it would bolt right up easily. I made my own exhaust flap from a big washer and some other scraps of metal (you can buy those from most hardware/Autoparts stores).

    After watching this entire series I feel inspired. Always been a gear head started on cars, I'm about to pick up welding once I sell my first flip truck and attend class not bad 5k 4 weeks go from nothing to fryin bacon. However I always see the whole kit for these go for 600 for small one 800 for a normal minibike but had to ask all and all what did you have in this?

    What the height in inches of the top of the handle bars down to the end of the fork cause I’m planning of just using bike forks instead of making them will that work?

    • @Bradrick_Larney_Sr
      @Bradrick_Larney_Sr 2 роки тому

      Mini bike forks are usually much longer and made from much more durable tubing than most bikes. As much as I love building things and seeing other people's creations. I don't suggest you using bike forks on a mini bike, which you would have to modify in order to do so anyway. I'm saying this out of experience honestly. My first mini bike frame I built from scratch a few years back, I used front forks, wheel, stem and bars from a Walmart mongoose with aluminum front room figuring it would all hold up well. Of course I had to extend the fork tube and manipulate them a little. But it worked decent until I went off road. After half dozen turns, the front rim literally broke in half causing me to go over the bars. Luckily I was able to laugh that one off as I was only going 10 to 15 mph. I switched to a Haro heffer front rim. Back in business. That was until the forks bent inward after hitting a small pothole. The only parts that didn't bend was the part that I fabricated and welded. That one I didn't get up laughing due to me face planting the cement! I'm just saying, do what you will. Just be careful. Otherwise I would go a different route! Mini bike forks are designed the way they are with the steel they're made of for a reason.
