Bad ADAS Calibrations
What could go wrong if a front millimeter wave Radar Calibration is done outside on a parking lot? Even though the spot I checked was level, the rest of the parking lot was wavy and hard to confirm. This resulted in an improper calibration. This calibration could still be done “successfully” by tricking the scan tool and adjusting the screws to where the computer wants it to be. Unsuspecting technician will not notice any difference if they have not verified the floor level. Calibrations should always be performed in a controlled environment with sufficient space and verified floor level.

So if a car is driving with underinflated tyres or less than a full tank if fuel or multiple passengers the camera will be out of spec whilst driving or can it somehow compensate?
How many time take to do all the process?
In the right environment it takes about an hour and a half. Na inexperienced technician may take 2.5 hours

Well this is a video about performing calibrations properly and with the factory equipment. I can’t just take measurements and let someone trick the system and somebody may get hurt after. These targets are available from the dealer and are affordable to buy. Please use the right tools for the job.

I somewhat agree with you. A lot of people rely on these systems and don’t pay as much attention. I drive an older car that doesn’t have ADAS systems. It’s easy to fix and maintain, however even experienced drivers can get in an accident. These systems have saved lives. They can slow your car down to minimize damage and injury when it detects imminent collision. Some 2022 models can even pull over when the driver is unresponsive or fell asleep or had a stroke and contact emergency services.
Yeah cause some accidents aren’t caused due too other ppl rear ending or T boning lol
