Nice video! I'm a nail polish enthusiast, and just put up a video on some basic color theory for nail polish (warm vs. cool colors). However, I'm not trained in color analysis, so I didn't take it into this level of detail. Good info!
im confused, thought true winter is same as cool winter
no, Cool winter is the palette between Winter and Summer.
I'm a natural ash blond, so what red shade would look the best on me? And I'm a neutral undertone leaning towards cool.
Are you Muted, Bright, Light or Deep?
@@thecolorconsultant My natural color looks muted. It's like a dark ash blonde.
@@thecolorconsultant That's my natural color that's in the picture that you see, by the comet.
@@Inquisitive3131You hair color is not an indication of your sub-season💜 But if you were a Muted Summer (neutral-cool, muted) I would recommend avoiding red.
@@thecolorconsultant Avoid red with my green eyes.?
"Perfect harmony". I love your accent and voice tone ❤ Great video 👏🏾 Thank you
I love this style of video! Please do more
Would Princess Jasmin's outfit be an example of light aqua? This was a great client example!
I just searched Princess Jasmin 😄 Some images show her in a bright acqua perfect for True Winter and other images show her outfit as a turquoise leaning a too warm for me.
@@thecolorconsultant hahaha thank you! This made my day.
Thank you. This was very informative.
True spring right here. I’ve always been a blonde but I’m learning cool blonde isn’t it for me. Going honey blonde next time I see my hair stylist
Yay!
🎉🎉🎉
Perfect song lyrics for this🙂🌷
Yep. Approved.
May I ask you, someone said I was a toned summer, is that the same as true summer or is it closer to soft summer?
@@CayennePepper15 I believe that I know the system you’re referring to. For each season they divide colors into tones, tints, shades plus the pure sub season. If that’s the case then toned summer would be closest to muted/soft summer. However, I would have to see the color palette they use, I imagine it’s different to the one I would recommend.
I see these seasonal things all the time, but I never saw one for nails before. The tips of my fingers do not have enough color space to wash me out. I wear what I like. I also don't dress to look my prettiest at all times. I dress to express myself and I love happy colors. I have no idea what season I am but I don't really care. If a color washes me out to the point of making me look sick (looken at you light and grayed out blue purple) I do avoid that for shirts, but not little things like nails.
i know your channel is dedicated to colour analysis, but I'd love if you make a makeup tutorial video.
@@maysabadawy6044 I will think about making one! It is a simple routine but color corrected for Deep Winter☺️
@@thecolorconsultant thank you! yes, it suits you so well and looks absolutely stunning.
I am also a winter but at times i feel like i could be a Bright Winter instead of a Deep Winter because my dads favorite color on me is a icy Lemon yellow? But when it comes to makeup i feel Deep Winter suits me, especially with brown-berry cool tone lippies harmonize with me the most
😮❤❤❤
Can you do something like this with actual photos of jewelry for the seasons. I watched your video on jewelry but would be helpful to actually see a photo of the jewelry instead of silver, gold, deep gold etc
@@khelix23 I do have some shorts on what different metals look like per season! Have you see those? I will make a video with photos too :)
@@thecolorconsultantyes I did.
❤❤❤

Of "all the things" out there, this matter puzzles me *the most* and I can't make head nor tails of it; way too complicated for something that should be so simple.
What palettes do you use? I'm curious because I'm working on colour comparison software/tooling for colour analysts doing online colour analysis
I've been confused for a long time and your channel is extremely helpful ❤
THANKYOU!! I was analysed as a True Muted / Neutral over a year ago and as you said if your hair is not right the clothes dont work as well, however there is not alot of content on true neutral especially hair , I have been searching for ages and I came across this ,made my day 😊🙏
I really love your videos! I always get excited when you post 🥰
You are stunning 🩷🩷 I am a deep winter too and was curious to know your lipstick colour?
Just a blackberry-colored lip balm called blackberry shine by Labello. With a cool brown lip liner!
You actually look very warm in camera.
I look very warm in real life too! You have to look beyond any surface coloring to see undertone 😊
You look so much like Keira Knightly in your expressions especially your smile!!🙈
I was told Im deep winter with a neutral-cool undertone. But the thing is this with gold I don’t have any shadows under my jaw or around lips but I kinda look yellow (which I don’t mind cause my overtone is tan/golden ) but with silver I have some shadows in my chin(maybe cause is a little bit recessed) / jaw but I don’t look yellow. So I feel kinda confused in what color to choose between gold and silver. Also as a deep winter I can’t have black hair cause it looks very harsh on me. 🤔 and for nail polish darks colors doesn’t suit me 😩
@@khelix23 Yes, silver can create shadows on Deep Winters because it is likely not deep enough. Likely why you favor gold. If you are a neutral only slightly cool Deep Winter, then depth is your dominant characteristic and a deep gold (even if warm and bringing yellowing) would work better than a lighter silver. Of course, a deeper silver would work best. Many deeps wear a mix of metals too. And I agree! Black hair is not ideal for Deep Winters. True black is a fully cool high intensity color best for True Winters. For nail polish, you have deep colors that are not that ‘dark’ in your palette! Have a look at my nail polish advice video for some options.
@@thecolorconsultant Thank you! I watched the video for the nail polish and it was helpful. I found out about icy colors for deep winter and winters in general and I think I’m using those colors. Because my hands don’t look “delicate” like yours. I tend to use lighter colors so that way people aren’t drawn to look at my hands 😂. I noticed the color I was using belonged to bright winter, not sure tho. (The nail polish is Sally Hansen miracle gel 534 Orchid-ing Aside ) is more lilac(purple) in person than pink
@@khelix23 @khelix23 Had a look! It is a True Winter pink. It looks like an ice violet-ice pink to me. Bright, but too cool for Bright Winter. Icy colors are for True Winter only. Tried Deep Winter stone beige/white/stone pink?
@@thecolorconsultant well I’m not sure if I tried stone pink. But I’m gonna try. Most of the time I use french, dark red or the orchid color. Black looks awful on my nails. (Makes my fingers darker and kinda dirty 😂 that’s my perception)
I am so thrilled with the detailed color analysis you just did for me. I knew your work would be superb because of your excellent videos. You are so professional!!
Happy to help, Mary!
Autumn v. Deep Winter :)
kinda skipped muted summer?
See 4:50 Neutral-Cool Soft Brown. Lighter browns, blondes, and reds are not ideal.
Your videos have helped me embrace my colour pallette and take it to the next level
Thank you ❤❤❤
Very helpful. I just subscribed.
Oh, no. Not an autumn?! Clearly you are a winter 🙂 Nice make up, as always.
Brown hair, brown eyes & cool. Getting a little older. Ashy blonde?
Depends. Are you are Summer or Winter?
B-but u look so good in that light blue
Guys just focus on her eyes light color caused her eyes to look dark whereas the dark one didnt😳
Summer is greyed navy
Yep! Grey-Navy is best for True Summers. Try a Steel Blue too.
It only washes down your face because camera adjust brightness according to how light or dark the surrounding is. It wouldn't have the same effect in real life. And with your make up style, lighter pastel colors wouldn't suit you. This ain't proving anything Edit: i know what color theory is but the effect still isn't as drastic in real life as it is on camera. Especially if you know how to style an outfit and match colors/shades, any color can be your color. Especially for those who do make up.
Explains why pink or lavender hair suit me (light summer)
Hello Wednesday mom😊
Thank you
There is too much to say so, I'll just say thank you and I've had an epiphany...😊❤
This channel is going to be huge !!❤🎉😊
Ecru is a key
It’s your best white!
I’ve been told by hairdressers that I can go cool or warm with my hair. I was given a soft summer result on a consultation and some colours suit me but a lot wash me out. Anything too chalky does me no favours. I’m still not ‘there’ yet with all of this and I think it’s that neutrality I’ve got that’s messing things up a bit. Dark brown hair (cool though) Hazel green eyes (lots of gold in them) Almost a pale olive skin colour that I find impossible to match foundation to. Everything’s too pink, too yellow, or deathly pale. A real mixed bag. Going grey now too which only adds to the mix n match 🤯🤣 Does anyone else find themselves not fitting into any one category?
I am very close to your characteristics! I tan really dark in the summer, but am a light olive skintone with no tan, hazel eyes that lean green or gold depending on what I wear, and natural medium gold/neutral brown hair. I feel your struggle 😭 I felt like I was a warm Autumn, but they say black isn’t a color I should wear, when I feel black is one of my best colors. I feel as though I can fall into Warm Autumn, Muted Winter, and True Summer. Sometimes the neutrality can be a curse lol 😂
Very useful. That’s what threw me. When I was analysed the silver reflected up my face and made me look grey. The gold also reflected up my face but I looked healthier. I’m actually a winter but I do have yellow overtones. Your video confirms what I thought, that it was because the silver was too light rather than the undertone being wrong.
Thank you for sharing this with us!
thas me with purple, makes me look like oompa loompa
