How the hell is that a Heimlich , go read the St John’s first aid book . What does it say about the hands ! What are you missing
Excellent
Great video thank you, preparing for FREC3 at the moment
Good luck and enjoy your FREC 3 training, glad this helped (please remember this is a couple of years old so make sure you look up any current updates and local processes. Hopefully my other videos will also be of some use as well 😊.
Great teaching
A little bit old now 😢, so please make sure you have a look for any updates / local changes. 😊
Jason lovely to see you doing so well.
Wow 😮 now there's a name from the Past 😂. How are you mate?
This is fantastic, thank you for this.
😂 a little dated now 😮! But glad you like it (makes me laugh how I talk to myself 😅).
Great video mate!! Keep going!
Great video. Nice and clear demonstration of upgrading the airway.
Can I find the second part of the video?
Informative, but the sound quality sucks.
These videos are great back to basics refreshers, its so easy to become complacent with the basics and become complacent and sloppy or miss basic things that have consequences. Really appreciate these videos Jason.
Hi Jason, good to see your doing well :)
How about going downstairs?
Nice video and instruction! I’m not sure if I missed it, but was anything attached to the patient’s harness? If not, why is the patient wearing a harness? Thanks!
Unresponsive patient check Circulation first
Do you sell a genetic patient treatment record book Or know where I can get similar
Great content 👍
Nice one Jason.
I have to admit the "sleight of hand" to check their breathing without them knowing (and thius affecting their natural breath) was a good method. Great video
These are really useful videos, thank you!
Jason, good video mate 👌🏻
I have re-uploaded this video as the original had problems with the sound, sorry!
I am just re-uploading as a new video, hopefully the sound will work, if it does I will delete this video.
Sorry, I will try to get sorted this weekend, sorry all 😞
There’s no audio mate
Bread and Butter revision and standard drills for all CFR. Really appreciate the videos Jason.
I made this video after @Mark Paul asked about it! I hope this is okay? And helps answer a few questions? Kind regards Jason
This could be marketed in the diet food apparatus industry; call it the girdle of no return...
Congratulations Jason, well done.
One thing never covered, patients don't crash in the middle of empty classrooms, When and what stage to drag your patient in to space or attempt to manage them in situ.
Very good point, this video was purely for an OSCE. To answer your question, once you know the patient is non breathing and help is on its way, then move the patient so you have 360 degrees access, then start CPR. I hope this helps? I will plain to make a video with a patient in an awkward position (toilet area for example) and demonstate assessment and move patient prior to CPR.
@@jasonsadler4402 That would be great Jason, including lifting/ dragging methods and turning technics, these videos have almost become a CFR course in themselves. When you are a peri arrest, its that decision, you know if you move them they could crash immediately, any tips, helps, ideas from your experiences would be most welcome . Mark
@@markpaul1154 have you seen new video removing a paitent from a toilet area?
@@jasonsadler4402 Yes thanks Jason, its most helpful and if its ok with you ill see if we can watch this at our cfr group training.
@@markpaul1154 absolutely, please do. FYI the manual handling technique comes from: Guidance for Safer Handling during CPR Resuscitation Council UK.
Oxygen is a GSL - not a POM
Thanks for making these videos, I'm on a frec course next week and this is great revision!
Great video. Thank you.

I'm a student paramedic and your videos have been very helpful 🙂
Probably the best assist responder resus video I have seen and I have watched hundreds, would you have an issue with me showing this to students ?
Yes, please use as you feel fit. Thank you.
Great stuff Jason
Really helpful in fine-tuning clinical skills: especially helped my technique in opening airway (jaw-thrust) with suspected C-spine injury; head-tilt chin-lift properly explained in terms of gaining effective airway patency. This video demonstrates best technique I have been shown for insertion naso-pharyngeal airway, very promising to see use of this in combination with OP (oro-pharyngeal) airway.
Nice refresher .. 👍👍
Nice straight forward video... regards PPE post COVID do you think gloves and Sanitizer become a standard for all patient contact or just where fluids are a risk 🤔
Thanks Sean, my personal view is that post Covid, as pre covid sanitiser should be standard before and after each patient, I believe it is good practice to apply hand sanitiser in front of the patient (to show them, and to slow you down, while doing your Scene survey) Glasses should also be standard for every incident. Gloves should only be put on at the last minute for bodily fluids and removed as soon as possible. During Covid gloves should be changed regularly, as soon as they become contaminated (whether you can see it or not) change your gloves regularly or you spread infection on your gloves.
Nice refresher for all those pneumonic’s and correct protocol’s 👍
Thanks Sean, a practical version (part 2) is due out Sunday 😀
Appreciate the thorough structured approach, thought-provoking
Thanks Peter, I personally always find this a tricky area to teach, it's all written down and individuals can learn what is written. But do they actually do it? Normally the human 'instinct' kicks in, so I believe this is about 'muscle memory', if we read this enough and rehearse it (whether mentally or physically) then we can make this our 'natural instinct' and stay safe, and be methodical, making us a good medic. Easy when you are doing this day in day out. Not so easy when first learning or you only do it once in a blue moon, or if you have to change habits. Hope you enjoyed the session?
@@jasonsadler4402 hi J', yes I agree that neumonic should be a helpful and practical (quick) way to access a memory...I think they can sometimes create a lot of questions which could divert one away from the primary (sustaining life) survey. I notice you clearly teach that the ABCde.... be re-assessed throughout the secondary survey.....that sits well with me 🙂 I try and challenge myself to understand a little greater depth in a subject.. than I may be routinely asked for in my nursing placements;. As you say....it takes lots of repetition to acquire 'ready-knowledge'; I appreciate your wish to raise the cfr knowledge base......and we can all improve our practice a little.....so I continue to watch the videos as a valuable learning resource. Peter
