Yep, & some folks have indeed wasted a Masterball by thinking something you can find as 1% encounter was legendary (e.g: a Ditto or a Gyarados)
:0
@@ThePokéworld172
3:40 IMO classyfying mythical as completely separate group from legendaries makes no sense. It makes much more sense to classify them as (more special) subgroup of legendaries. (Also making distinction by something as game specific as way of obtaining/encounters is pretty ridiculous too) And it's strange Lucario wasn't mentioned. Especially that it is strange it isn't actually legendary (similarly to Volcarona and Zoroark)
Pink Butterfree would have made a better shiny.😤
4:10 The paradox pokemon are not real. They were made up by machine based on some people's imagination of how they would be. It wasn't directly stated, but pretty much heavily implied. So the "ancient pokemon" explanation is still valid 4:38 The giant tentacruel was literally shown on screen how it come to be. It was because of some chemicals that make one tentacool evolved and simultanously grow to enormous sizes. The actually mysterious part is how did it make it able to speak through Meowth, as if kinda mind controlling him. Also pokemon being regional variant before the idea was introduced would make sense. Though some of them can be consider "mild regional variant" like the ones with just different coloration. They could kinda be middle stage. For crystal onix I would say it's most likely regional variant of yet unknown crystal type... even though I would see at least 3 (well just now I can think of 4) types that would be more logical to introduce (namely light, sound, cosmic/stellar/alien and digital/cyber).
That Crystal Onyx is still one of the coolest concepts they gave us in my opinion. They should do this kind of thing more, make unique variants and give them different strengths and weaknesses.
Tentacruel became massive due to toxic waste from a barrel. think of it like the hulk
@@Charlie_Electric_7 Gamma Radiation Tentacruel, i like it😅
Tentacle was turned into a giant by team rockets chemical
Galarian farfetch’d is why meowcarada’s signature move should not be exclusive.
My friend got shiny tandemaus and it got to level 100 without evolving 😭
@@Silly_Goose12 WHAT
IIRC, for evolving a Primeape into an Annihilape Rage Fist only has 10 PP by default and if you go to a Poke Center to heal, your Primeape will never evolve. You'll need to use a berry or ether/elixer to restore the PP of Rage Fist.
The giant tentacruel was probably just their version of deep rising.
People fail to realize that the company did not plan to last so long. I believe the giant Dragonite was mechanical. It was closer to the episodes of the gigantic, mechanical Pokémon.
If black rayquaza is illusion of miss megius what explanation do you have to black rayquaza in hoopa and the clash of ages...
@glichry Black Rayquaza isn't an illusion of MisMagius, the purple one shown in the video is. The Black Rayquaza in the Hoopa movie is just a shiny Raquaza so not to sure what you're asking.
Whilst the games followed a strict canon due to restrictions on types and variants you could imagine in real life other factors could/will effect the pokemon in other ways though some cases are just 'hey its a one off special' : Crystal Onix - Given where and how they live unsurprisingly the mineral content of its diet would create a new variant remember official pokedex entries mention they DO eat rocks SnowLax - Anyone remember 'The Snowman' Valencia island - Once again given the unique and different climate then normal would it would be more surprising if the pokemon HADN'T been unaffected and also Alola region showcases a more direct type altercation of such extreme climate change Kecleon - Again pokedex entries specifically state it CAN and WILL change it's colour at will so Kecleon not being green ISN'T unusual... Giant pokemon - early anime episodes suggested an early version of the Alpha idea found in the switch games, whilst the ancient pokemon suggests at some stage giant pokemon were a thing. Safer to say the 'Alpha' idea needs a bit more explaining but more plausible then the ancient pokemon idea due to lack of actual explanation or history to back it bar the literal one episode on it
I'm simply guessing for the onyx the rock materials and minerals turned into crystals as it lived in the cave with water for too long
The Tentacruel I thought was mutated from dumped waste unless im remembering the episode wrong. Dragonite I just assumed was they can grow that big, also kinda reminded me of Godzilla coming from the sea 🤣
@exiaR2x78 I like the Godzilla comparison😅
@ProfBrasher yeah I wonder if thats what they were going for 🤣. As a kid I thought all dragonites were that big and the one in the first movie was just short lol
You can't forget about all the Pokémon Mewtwo cloned in Pokémon: The First Movie!
Please do legendaries vs mythicals
Tandemaus evolves starting level 25 when leveled up in a battle
Moss onix in pokemon black and white
Missingno
Ash's Charizard was so small compared to the others on that Charific Valley
Mystery to me to this day is, how there was talking Gastly who made diferent shapes and even had shape of real life animal. Is he some sort of special gastly, or he jumped out of some lab like meowth?
0:17 squid
The Orange island Pokémon (not Onix) were explained when Ivy said they were regional. It's similar with other animals in real life.
Don't forget that Primape needs to use Rage Fist 20 times to evolve into Annihilape
He said in the video :/
What about the Gold Ho-Oh from the first episode of the anime?
shiny ho oh is golden
The crystal Onyx should be a regional form with an Ice/Steel typing, Ice/Water typing, or Ice/Fairy typing.
These evolutions are very dumb, especially Meltan, Feebas and Hitmontop
Feebas was way worse than the other two
For bisharp you don’t need to hold a leader’s crest. You just need to KO 3 wild bisharp who are, and they just so happen to be the ones that spawn with a group of pawniard.
@THGMR-ox7sd Interesting, most of the guides online say you need be holding the item aswell, well thanks for the info! I'll have to test it out myself!
Sadly they won't give you any answers to those questions.
Hg/Ss are better than crystal in my opinion
@@ericdavenport7120 I can agree with that. Gg/Ss are amazing remakes. I think the one thing Crystal would have over them would just be the Nastolgic look and feel.
I wish thay would tern the pink pokemon into cards along with the Cristal onix would make an epic set
@@oldistdragon7129 would be super cool to see them in some sort of media again
Ash's Snorlax. Truly that Pokemon cements Ash as being the greatest trainer ever because he somehow taught his Snorlax to know six moves simultaneously.
I think the dolphin Pokémon way to evolve is the worst
Finizen was pretty unnecessary as well. Palafin should have been a single line mon.
@@MrRuePinethat defeats the whole point of the evolution line. Finizen is a citizen and palafin looks like a finizen to blend in like a superhero in disguise. I don’t care if “oh it looks the same when you evolve it that’s so dumb”. Yeah, I’d agree with you if the reason didn’t justify this.
@@THGMR-ox7sd There's just one problem with that explanation about the evolution line, that being that IT'S AN EVOLUTION LINE. If Palafin was like a special form of Finizen, then that would make sense, but EVERY FINIZEN EVENTUALLY EVOLVES INTO IT. That's why the whole thing can still work with Palafin alone, you got the Zero form, the normal like then you got the Hero form. Putting Finizen is the equivalent of making a prevolution to Wishiwashi that is lonely, who then evolves into Wishiwashi, who gets friends to back it up. It's just a Pokedex filler.
I wish Gamefreak would recolor many of the older shiny Pokemon, because a lot of them old ones look bad. Perhaps introduce a second shiny variant.
@@maythesciencebewithyou some shinys could definitely use a redesign 😅
I'm your 997th subscriber😊
@@GeordoStuartClaes Thank you!
giant Aerodactyl that catched Ash in first season
Wasn't it the stuff that Team Rocket dropped on a Tentacool that made it evolve into the giant Tentacruel?
@neildamonjones2956 in Tentacruels case that's correct! As to what those chemicals were is still a mystery
@@ProfBrasher Well, based on its name, it was supposed to stun Pokémon. Maybe Team Rocket shouldn't be playing around with chemicals.
@@neildamonjones2956 I think we can all agree with that😅
Well I think they basically have told us without just outright telling us that Ditto is a failed clone of Mew, I believe it 100%
Gold and silver also has different pokédex entries for every mon right?
@@fizzyfuzz5878 Correct!
It has best girl Kris, so yea it's better.
Still astonished at the quality of all your videos from the little subs you have, I hope it goes well for you
@itzlazarLT Thank You!
The moble game Pokémon GO make some of these even harder. Rockruff, and Nincada is actually 2 separate Pokémon. You can evolve Nincada but you won't be able to get Shedninja. And Rockruff you have to get a speical one to evolve into Dusk. Hisuian Qwuilfish, and Galarian Yamask is kinda annoying because you have to do 10 raids to evolve them while also having them being your buddy. Hisuian Sneasel you have to walk 7KMs also with it being your buddy. You can only evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna at a full moon but that only happens once a month in the PoGO game! And as for Primeape you have to battle against 30 Ghost or Psychic types as its also your buddy. Edit: and one of the HARDEST Pokémon GO Pokémon to evolve is Feebas. As you have to walk with it 20KM as your buddy! Also note: @7:24 you also forgot to mention that it has to be NATURAL rain. So having Sligoo try and use rain dance to try and evolve it won't work!
@ShadyRK9 Yeah that's why I stay away from Pokemon Go😅 And yes good point! No cheating with rain dance unfortunately
Charcadet is harder to evolve than Primeape because it needs you to defeat 30 Ghost *OR* Psychic types depending on which evolution you want. You also need 2 of them and they're only a rare 10km egg hatch iirc
I grew up with pokemon, I never knew the Prof Ivy Secret with Brock
I think pancham and wurmple are also have an unusual way to evolve
@@thetrapmaster Good choices!
Regular onix eats dirt so my theory is that crystal once eats crystals and over time its body changes to crystal
Excellent video! Keep up the great work!
@@ak94dude30 Thank you, Glad you enjoyed it!
I remember the Dragonite episode on VHS! It was the last episode on the tape and would leave me DYING for the next episode. I even remember when the Crystal Onix episode premiered solely because I recorded it on VHS to watch later, not realizing that I had to watch a show while it was recording anyway. Thought we'd get more about it later in the season.
@IAmMightyMike I've still got the episode on VHS! 😅
