I still believe there is a slight, but very manageable, delay on UHF. The Aiaiai wireless module for instance has somewhere between 10-20ms, which is not perfect, but close enough. The JBL Partybox 310 does not have UHF built in, so additional hardware receivers would be required.

It is, but if you're mixing in headphones it doesn't matter too much.

Can you elaborate on why it's "shity"? To me it's just using both your ears in headphones rather than one in a single headphone and the other towards a speaker. So you're just replacing the open ear towards a speaker with towards a headphone instead.

Yes, you're absolutely right. But that's a $250 solution for transmitter only. This is $25 solution for all bluetooth speakers; it's a specific usecase.

@@bboymac84 Not entirely sure about the battery, haven't A/B-tested it. Range is a consideration over BT for sure. Reliability I have not had any issues with. If it was a factor I would use XLR anyway. I'm not denying that SKAA would be a larger investment with different benefits, just that the cost/benefit equation doesn't make sense for my use case.

I use BT out as well when I'm using this gear. But I always mix in headphones, so for me it's the same. It does give me trouble during mic work though, because of shadowtalking 😅
