Переглядів 92 роки тому
Tall trees play a non-cooperative game to gather as much light as possible, ending up worse off for having to support a giant trunk.

    None of these trees are where i live. All (dead) ash and living varieties of oak are the dominant trees.

    I love the video. There is silvery leaf tree I always see usually on trails around creeks. I see them everyday and I don't know their name. The areas I see are usually the Denver-Boulder area and northern plains

    It would be good if you put the scientific names for each tree. common names arent always that clear.

    All maple trees, black walnut, and red oaks are forest killers... they shade the ground not allowing the real tall straight species (like white oak and Eastern Hemlock) to flourish...

    • @beerjam1892
      @beerjam1892 3 роки тому

      Hemlock is among the most shade tolerant tree species and is often found with sugar maple on upland sites. Pick up a book on dendrology and forest ecology, or just walk through the forests of the eastern US, and you’ll see how wildly uninformed that opinion is.

    Nice video! Helped me to remember my childhood trips to see my grandparents in Denver, and further explore and experience these magnificent, beautiful wonders of Mother Nature on a different level. Four generations of my family resided in Colorado, so this is going way back. I do want to point out the word "pinon" is a Spanish word with the distinctive n sound/squiggly line above the "n," minus the "y." Thank you for posting! It is very hard to pick out a favorite! 🌲🌳🍁😘💞
