Thank you Kathy. I will be in touch with you.
Hoping to release this soon, watch this space!!
Liz is so knowledgeable as I am going through loads of these emotions at the moment. Thank you, it’s nice to know that I’m not going mad. ❤
Thank you so much for having me Hannah❤
Thank you for having me! 💚
Bless you Caroline. I hope that I meet you at the hospice one day.
Amazing knowledge and experience.
The nurses mentioned that they off load to a trained physiologist. Is this a service that Forest Holme offer to people who need to rebuild their lives after a bereavement. Thank you. 😁
Or even a trained phycologist.
Bless you Mary. You are inspirational. Thank you.
Amazing Jennie. You do great work in the hospice.
Wish I’d known this before my wife recently passed away.
So. Brave Sue. I look forward to meeting you again soon. Thank you for your support.
We’re incredibly proud to see Leanne Adimi from our Lesley Shand branch in Corfe Mullen featured on this podcast with Forest Holme Hospice. Her thoughtful words shine a light on the compassion and dedication that go into supporting families during their most challenging moments. Thank you to Forest Holme Hospice for creating such an insightful conversation about the often-unseen aspects of our profession and for helping to bring greater understanding to the community.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for the compassionate work you do.
Great conversation but the split in the animal print dress is a bit incongruous.
I agree with you @elainerobertson1988 - we had 7 quick outfit changes that day and I didn’t notice the slit. I apologise for any offence caused. I hope it doesn't overshadow the importance of the discussion and the topic we covered.
So simple and innocent through the eyes of a kid.
What an eloquent interview Danny. Thankyou so much for telling us your story, and I wish you and your family all the best for the future. What particularly struck a chord with me, was when you talked about losing your Dad at age 8, and how you still felt his loss, and you didn't want your children to go through that. My husband Nick died (from throat cancer) when our kids were 15, 12, 9 and 7, almost 3 years ago. And my heart is broken for all that my kids have missed out on, from him not being here. Well done on getting through the last decade, and I really hope that breakthrough is just around the corner for you xxx
Thank you for your kind words Nat 💘
Thanks Natalie, I hope this can help people, not only people suffering with MND but anyone struggling with the challenges of life.
Hello Dear, I see you have a youtube channel. The videos on your UA-cam channel are not only inspiring but also incredibly well made. I really like your videos. Thank you very much . Thank you so much for having me on as a guest. It was great to be with you and the team and I hope this helps some people in some small way to manage these most challenging experiences
Thank you Lorien. It was really lovely chatting to you and you shared some excellent advice for those who are grieving or living with a life limiting illness.

Just a simple text saying 'thinking of you and/or is there anything I can do ' to a parent can mean the world. X
Thank you Kathy.
Hopefully, none of us will ever need to have this conversation with our children. However, if you find yourself needing to explain the death of a loved one to a child, this interview is invaluable.
Listening to Mary's wise words, I think she has been amazing - Eric was my brother and he has left a hole - Mary is always an inspiration. Lynne
Mary, you are so inspirational you will bring so much comfort to those who have lost a partner.
I have found this podcast the best out of all the them. My husband passed away 18 months ago and Mary’s comments on how to cope are extremely useful. Maybe I will meet Mary when Forest Holme have a vacancy - I keep looking.
I really loved talking to Mary. Such wise words for us all. Mary is always so compassionate, kind and positive.
The palliative care given to my husband and our family was fantastic. The team included Forest Holme, the palliative care nurse at our surgery, Marie Curie nurses and Lewis Manning Hospice. They all enabled my husband to die at home which was his wish.
Thank you so much for your kind words.
👏 Really informative. Thanks Kathy
Really useful information for all of us, thank you Liz.
I hope that you have a happy life with Ian. You will always love Nick too. Bless you and your family.
Thank you for your kind words.
Thankyou!
Nat was so brave to share her experience and feelings with me. Thank you.
Thanks so much for having me, Hannah. I found this very hard to do, but it's really important for people to know that it's ok to love again. Nick would be very pleased that we bring each other such happiness, and are getting married next month. Of course, Nick won't be left out of the wedding 🥰🥰🥰
Mark is so brave. I wish him and his family well.
It was really lovely to speak to Caroline during this interview. Caroline is a wonderful lady with a big heart.
A wonderful personal insight from Tory and Sarah into their work and real love for their jobs
Thank you Tina.
They have to be a special sort of person to deal with this daily❤
Absolutely, they are wonderful people.
Very brave , must have been so hard to do and hopefully will help others. Karl would have been so proud of you.
Very brave to talk about something so painful. Thank you Sue.
This podcast will be so helpful to anyone recently bereaved . Such a positive attitude from a very brave Mum.
Thank you for your kind comment Jane.
A wonderful touching testimony by my good friend Sue - how brave you are! I wish I’d known Karl 😘
Thank you Caroline.
Parts of this podcast brought me to tears as I understood Jasmine’s feelings especially when she was talking about her grief. Grief is very personal and is hard. Forest Holme helped me to keep my husband at home to die which was his wish. Carol was the lady who helped me and my daughter and she was wonderful. I thought it was wonderful how my doctor, Forest Holme, Lewis Manning, Marie Curie and the district nurses all worked together in caring for my husband. You are all really very caring.
Thank you for your kind words. I am very sorry for your loss.
I Found this so emotional jasmine spoke with such honesty and I found myself going back to when I loss my Dad as she said Grief is different for each of us so much of what she spoke about resonated with me your spike of your Dad being proud he would have been Thankyou for sharing this podcast I'm sure this will help many people x
Thank you so much for this. I have always been open and honest with my girls about their dad’s life limiting brain cancer but I often have to coach myself through the guilt I feel. Hearing this podcast has been very comforting.
Thank you Kate, that means a lot.
I learnt so much during my conversation with Leo. He provides some excellent advice.
Mark, this is a great interview. Really positive but so honest. I have experience in this area from a carer's prospective. Wishing you and your wife and your young family all the very best in the future. I also can strongly recommend critical care insurance and also life insurance when you have a young family. It's one less thing to worry about in this situation. All the best.
Thank you Julie.
It was a privilege to speak to Dr Amy. I learnt so much about the dying process and it gave me a greater understanding of this important stage of life.
This was a very emotional interview. It was wonderful to hear about Des. A hard working, compassionate and pragmatic man. Des and Chris' love story is very inspiring. It was also heart-warming to hear about the compassionate care provided by staff at the hospice.
This was a great insight into the gp experience and pressures within this field and how valuable the engagement with patients is in these circumstances
Thank you Lorien
Thank you Lorien
Such a powerful story. Thank you so much for the courage you showed in sharing
Thank you.
Mr Hayward (Mark, but I always called him Mr Hayward) was my biology teacher years 7, 9, 10 and a bit of 11. Always a lovely man, always supported me even with biology being my worst subject, was sad to see his diagnosis back then in yr 11, but very glad he's still going strong! Keep at it Mr Hayward ❤
Thank you Samantha.
A carefully handled exploration of a topic seldom explored as transparently as we need. Thank you
Thank you.
Lovely talking to Dr Kate about her work.
