Thank you very much. Glad to be of help.
I need help to show my x-ray and report. Anyway you can help me sir
@irenechao127 Hi can you email your xray to: saadwahby@hotmail.com
Thanks so much this helped alot for my presentation
Thank you very much. Glad it helped.
Hello sir. Could you help me please? What do you do with patients like me who have a neurological muscular dusorder and so the aparatus cant come around the shoulder, because my shoulders are too high and i cant bring them down. Are we doomed? Are there other bigger opg machines for peoole with deformaties?
Hi Mam, thank you very much for your comment, and I am sorry for your condition, all my best wishes of a speedy recovery. To start with, OPG machines are all similar and operate on the same principle. As for your condition, I would advise that when you do an OPG, you inform the X-ray technician that you are going to hold the hand support by placing your left hand on the right support arm, and you right hand on the left support arm, in a crisscross position. This position will bring your shoulders down and thus prevent contact of the machine with you shoulders. If the dentist really needs x-rays, he\she can take intra oral films instead of the OPG. Please let me know if I can be of more help. Regards
Thank you so much for the video! Sometimes I have a problem with positioning patients for OPG, because of excessive kyphotic neck curve, so it shows like a shadow on a front upper or lower teeth, or if our patient don't have upper teeth at all. Would you be so kind to advise something?
@ninalokky9450 You are most welcome. You can ask patients with excessive kyphotic neck to hold the hand support in a crisscross fashion, i.e., place left hand on right handle and vice versa. This will aid in making the vertebral column more straight. As for edentulous patients, you can place a cotton role on the area of missing upper or lower incisors to replace the missing crown and thus help the patient to bite on the bite block notch. Hope this will help. Regards
wow...this is massive
Thank you very much.

This is great info but do you have an instance where the root is in the maxillary sinus to contrast against the others?
@altermode Thank you very much. Actually I did not yet come across a case of true penetration of a tooth inside a sinus. I would share such information once a case is noted.

Did you remove this tooth even with such intimate contact? Or just do a coronectomy?
Actually I am not a surgeon. This is for an oral surgeon to decide. Thanks for the comment.
3 roots are in the sinus I hope the patient may have pain during fever or any allergies, as this could have inpact on the tooth too.

I appreciate you!!
Thank you very much.
Thanks alot doctor..what do you mean in interance point please, I find it usless ,I only do vertical and horizontal angulation
Dear Dr Saad, thank you very much for your comment. The point of entry helps the operator in "aiming" the beam at the sensor, which in most cases can't be seen. It has nothing to do with the horizontal and vertical angulations. I hope I made my point clear.
