My Navien NFC 250/200H Build High Efficiency Combi Boiler
Hi guys this is a walk through of my new Navien NFC 250/200H combi boiler set up I installed recently. I got the inspiration from watching videos from Jim Speranza, Steve Lav, and Mikey Pipes on UA-cam. Check out their channels for some great content and educational material! this is NOT a tutorial. I am not a professional. I am just showing you guys what I did. I am just the type of guy who likes to work on my own stuff and learn. Any professional comments are welcome. Thanks guys!

      @@ans1020 Oh I keep a little hand sharpener in my “main bag” and I always got regular pencils lying around too. Sometimes the fine point is needed for certain things. That’s why I said “both practical and goofy” because I see the value in it but at the same time you know there’s plenty of times you ‘marked’ with whatever is closest to you. I’ve even just scratched a line in something with whatever nail/screw was in my pocket/pouch in a pinch. 😝

    Also I absolutely agree. Never buy a cordless SDS max. As someone who used a rotary hammer every single work day for 15 years, when you need the big boy gun batteries just become more of a hassle than they are worth. BUT a cordless SDS plus is a godsend for all the small anchors/chipping.

  • @ligyron2835

    I personally learned there is a very fine line between neat and “too neat”. I remember field guys I learned from that would waste 20-30 minutes every day wiping every bit of crud off their handtools. Then wondering why I passed them up and became their foreman. Because while you were busy polishing your boots I was busy getting things done. Of course, I’m not a pig either. Take pride in your job and your equipment. I started as a “shop kid” at 13 and one of my responsibilities was repairing all the broken field tools that came back. Learned how to repair pipe threading machines, sawzalls, etc at a young age. And that’s why I got some tools that are 10+ years old and still chugging along like new.

    I’ve had good luck with my 18 gauge nailer, not sure which generation you have (gen 2 came out in 2022 I believe). Milwaukee is coming out with an m12 18 gauge brad in a couple of weeks. Might be a good option if your max nail is 1,1/2” and you still use your 15 gauge for heavier applications.

    I would angle that solar panel on top of the roof. You're losing a ton of potential energy available mounting the solar panel straight up and down on the front side of the trailer. Angle the solar panel in accordance with your latitude. When you're hooked up to a truck, I'm sure the tail gate blocks come light from the sun as you drive down the road.

    I started giggling when I saw label stickers on the blade of the miter saw. Just tells you this tool is virtually never used. Same probably goes for many other stuff in those boxes. Yeah, the setup is obviously nice and well organized but also an overkill. Most contractors who are really busy have simply no time to clean up and organize their tools to such extend nor they have extra money to shell out on such extensive storage system just to keep things neat. Contracting is simply speaking a dirty and messy business and seeing setup like this makes me think it's more of a hobby than profitable business.

    • @ligyron2835
      @ligyron2835 2 місяці тому

      While I agree with most of what you say, I absolutely disagree with the keeping things clean. Real contractors will MAKE the time. Even as an employee my work van could only get so messy before I lost my mind and had to rip everything out and clean it up. On average every 3-4weeks. BUT I also don’t “respect” any tradesman with a trailer/tools THIS clean/new unless it is all literally brand new. Setting up a “gangbox” for my men costs about 10-15k per set of tools and the only time they are spotless is the first day on the job. Otherwise you simply aren’t working hard enough. I remember as a kid being told, if you ain’t sweating..you ain’t really working.

      Work clean and sort your tools and you will know where everything is, it will be harder for shit to grow legs and disappear too all being locked in. I'd like to see your setup and how long it takes you to find your tools thrown into a pile in your truck.

      Your job shouldn’t only be business if you can’t see your job as a hobby you have fun doing you need to quit and find a different job I see what your saying but if he does ever need it it’s there he also has the tools to pass down to his kids give them a head start and maybe they’ll do the same for theirs a lot more to it then just spending the money to do it.

      I agree this just a sales video but the rest of your post is just cope for lazy slobs. My van looks a lot like this but without BRAND NAME PRODUCT everywhere. Turns out if you have a place for everything and make sure to put things away in their place it makes life a lot easier? I seethe with rage when I have to spend 5-10 minutes pawing through someone else's piles of crap looking for a box of nuts or something when the only description I get is "it's in the truck somewhere". Same goes for toolboxes where they just throw everything in a pile. Maddening and huge waste of time.
