This is actually a really incredible and useful piece of footage. You were in the exact right place to observe the forward flank downdraft, mesocyclone and RFD. You can even see the rotation sucking the rain out of the FFD forming the tail of the hook echo, which passed almost right over your house. Just awesome.

Fantastic video mate! Very interesting to see the wind change direction multiple times before the cold front rolled through. I got to experience a nocturnal supercell thunderstorm in Dallas last April when I visited to see the Solar Eclipse. Far more powerful and angry than Floridian thunderstorms! The wind was blowing everywhere, and the booms of the thunder easily overpowered the loud hotel AC unit. I loved it lol

I live in nsw Australia, I got hit by the most American looking storm ever a few days ago, it was intense with apparently 371k lightning strikes in the storms that day, it was enjoyable but scary at the same time. It was kind of similar to your 31st July severe thunderstorm but at night time.
