About my fishing journey:
I fished a lot when I was a kid but never really had any technical guidance, then I sort of gave it up in my early 20's. I picked up fishing again after moving from Chicago to Las Vegas in 2017. When I moved to Michigan in 2020, it opened up a whole new world of fishing, new species to target, and new things to learn.
UA-cam videos were so inspiring to me when I started up fishing again and they helped me learn faster than I would have on my own. I enjoyed watching fishing on YT so much that I decided to get a GoPro and document my own fishing journey.
So here it is, it isn’t perfect and I am humbled every day by the new things I learn about fishing - while having a good time doing what I love.

I was fishing the Detroit River and decided to scope out an urban pond I found on Google Maps near Henry Ford College. So cool to find bass in tiny ponds so close to Detroit. Two muddy water fishing tips I learned after filming this: 1. I should've been throwing something like a chatterbait or a crankbait... anything with a little flash and vibration would've worked better in stained, muddy water. 2. I didn't know we had drum up this way! I guess you learn something new every day! I've always wanted to go to Whimpy's Burgers up there, but still haven't gotten the chance. I'll have to put Scoops on the list as well!
@@danspanos Wimpys is legitimately one of my favorite burgers in the USA and I have been a lot of places! Just a simple smash burger like glorified White Castle but they do it just right and they’re amazing. Scoops is legit too such good ice cream! And yes freshwater drum also known as sheepshead they’re fun to catch and can be aggressive like bass. I’ve caught a lot on jigs and even a few on senkos. They’re weird and awesome. I’ll post a pic of my PB drum I caught in lake st clair on my social tab. It was HUGE. Had to be at least 8lb.

What editing software do you use I just started recording my fishing on a gopro and wanted some adive
I am currently pretty happy with the paid version of Splice. It’s an app. I edit longform videos on my iPad Pro 10.5”. It’s an older iPad I bought refurbished but it does the job. I was originally editing in adobe premiere on my laptop but this is way more convenient & simple. Premiere is arguably much better but my laptop lacks processing power and my older bootlegged version of premiere isn’t compatible with the 4k GoPro 10 video.
@@jacksonallen778 my fiancé uses InShot to edit her UA-cam videos and it’s free I believe. She’s happy with that. I was using the free version of Splice for a while but it doesn’t export in 4k.

The river is tough but that spot has some massive smallmouth. When I first moved here I lost what looked like a solid 4lb maybe more it was a biggun.
