Ingredients for eggless vanilla cake 🍰 1.5 cups maida (all-purpose flour) 1 cup milk 1/2 cup melted butter 3/4 cup sugar 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp vanilla extract Instructions: 1. Sieve together the maida, baking soda, and baking powder. Set them aside. 2. Use a mixer grinder to powder the sugar. 3. In a mixing bowl, take the powdered sugar and add the melted butter along with the vanilla extract. Whisk well until the mixture turns creamy. 4. Gradually add the flour and milk, a little at a time, and mix gently to make a smooth batter. 5. Once the batter is ready, transfer it to a greased baking pan. Bake at 180°C for 40 minutes in a preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. 6. Take the pan out of the oven, let the cake cool slightly before slicing, and enjoy the best-ever eggless vanilla cake at home 🫶 Notes: - You can use 1/2 cup of sugar if you prefer. Adjust the quantity of sugar to your taste. - Line the baking tray with parchment paper for easier removal. - Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature before starting. - Baking time and temperature may vary slightly, as every oven is different. - I used regular Amul butter, which is salted. If you’re using unsalted butter, adding a small pinch of salt to the flour along with baking soda and baking powder will work just fine. - Salt enhances the flavor of the cake, but it’s not mandatory-you can skip it and just use unsalted butter.

Everyday Recipe Series Episode 6✨ Ridge gourd very popularly known as turai/torai. We call this vegetable ‘jhingli’ in Bihar. What do you call Ridge gourd? 🍽Recipe: Peel and wash turai and cut it as shown in the video. In a pan, heat some mustard oil. Add paanch phoran, green chillies, and bay leaf/tej patta. Next add chopped onion and soaked kala chana. Add salt and turmeric and cook till onion turns a little brown. Next add chopped turai to the pan, give it a good mix, cover and let it cook for a few minutes. Keep stirring in between, keep the flame low through out and also adjust salt. Turai will release water while cooking. When turai is cooked properly, cook it further as per the consistency you want and turn off the flame. Serve turai chana with roti/paratha or as a side dish with dal chawal. 📝Notes: Kala chana is optional, you can skip adding this but we love the addition of kala chana. Make sure kala chana is well soaked before using it for this recipe. I soak it in the morning if I have to make it for dinner. 🌶For paanch phoran: 2 tbsp saunf 1 tbsp methi seeds 1 tbsp kalonji 1/2 tbsp rai/mustard seeds 1/2 tbsp ajwain Mix everything together, store in a glass jar and use as needed. #ridgegourd #turai #vegetablerecipes #vegrecipe #vegrecipes #vegrecipesofindia #regionalfood #vegetablecurry #vegetablelover #everydaymeals #gharkakhana #everydayfood #homemademeals #vegfood #purevegetarian #greenveg #greenveggies #greenvegetables #simplemeal #simplemeals #indianfoodrecipes #indianfoodlovers #indianfoodstories #indianfoodtales #indianfoodrecipe #hyderabadbloggers

Matar paneer for Episode 5 of Everyday Recipe Series✨ 📝 Recipe: Heat mustard oil in a pan, add roughly chopped onion, some garlic, a small piece of ginger, green chillies to taste, salt and fry for 2 minutes. Once the onion turns slight brown, add roughly chopped tomatoes along with 1 handful of cashews. Add salt & turmeric powder, fry for 2 minutes. Add little water, cook for another 2 minutes and turn off the heat. Let the onion tomato mixture cool down a bit and blend them to a smooth paste. Now in the same pan, add some more oil. Add chopped capsicum, little salt and sauté for 2 mins. Now add haldi, jeera powder, dhaniya powder, red chilli powder & little water. Mix and let it cook for 2 minutes. Now add green peas (I used frozen peas) to the capsicum masala along with a bit of salt & water and cook till peas are soft. Now add the prepared onion tomato paste to capsicum and peas. Mix well. Add water as per consistency you want. Add a tsp of sugar, mix, add paneer cubes. Let it simmer. Now dry roast little kasuri methi in a pan, crush it and add it to the sabzi. Give it mix, let it simmer & the dish is ready. Serve it with garma garam ghee wali roti and enjoy!! 📝Note: I have added little salt in almost every step as it helps in cooking the veggies faster. Sugar is optional and can be skipped. Capsicum enhances the flavour. #matarpaneer #matar #greenpeas #peas #everydaymeals #ghee #roti #chapati #gravysauce #paneerrecipes #paneer #paneermasala #paneerbuttermasala #paneerlover #paneerlove #paneerlovers #paneerrecipe #paneercurry #paneerdishes #indianmasala #indianfoodrecipes #kidfriendlyfood #kidfriendlyrecipes #whatweeat #homemademeals #homemadefoods
Growing up, I never saw my mom have meals before us. She would always be the last person to eat. I followed the same once I got married. I used to wait for Mr. Husband to come back home, and we would have dinner together. Even though some days I felt extremely hungry, I still waited for him to be back from work because I was conditioned that way. Then, when I was expecting Rahyl, waiting until late became extremely difficult. So, I started having my meals when I felt hungry instead of waiting for Mr. Husband. Slowly, it became a habit to have dinner by 7 PM or at most by 7:30 PM. To this day, I follow the same. Obviously, I adjust when needed, but mostly, we stick to this routine. My parents still point this out and judge me for it. But I don’t know why, I just don’t feel guilty about eating when I’m hungry. Isn’t that how it’s supposed to be? Mr. Husband doesn’t have fixed meal hours. Rahyl and I usually have dinner together, but sometimes when he’s busy playing or had a heavy snack and isn’t feeling hungry at dinner time, I eat before him as well. I genuinely feel there’s nothing wrong with having my meals before my husband and child. It ultimately benefits my family. When I’m hungry, I get irritated quickly-like literally everything around me starts to annoy me. But when I’m well-fed, I can take better care of Rahyl and our home. I’m more patient and have more energy to handle things. Now tell me your thoughts on this 🙃 #momlife #healthyhabits #selfcare
Recipe for Banana Bread 🍌🥖 Ingredients: -1.5 cups atta (whole wheat flour) -1/3 cup sugar (blend in a mixer to make powder) - 3 ripe bananas - 1 egg - 1/4 cup melted butter - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract - 1/4 cup milk - 1 tsp baking powder - 1/2 tsp baking soda Method: 1. Crack the egg into a mixing bowl and whisk until light and fluffy. Add the powdered sugar and mix well. Then, add the melted butter, mashed bananas, milk, and vanilla extract, and give everything a good mix. 2. Next, add the sifted flour, baking soda, and baking powder, and mix until the batter comes together and is free of lumps. Avoid overmixing, as this can make the bread dense. 3. Once the batter is ready, transfer it to a greased loaf or cake tin. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40 minutes. 4. Slice and enjoy a warm piece of bread, or let it cool to room temperature before serving!
🍛 No onion no garlic lobia curry recipe: Heat mustard oil in a pressure cooker. Add bay leaf to the oil, followed by grated ginger. Sauté for 30 secs and add fresh tomato purée. Cook the tomato purée for about 2 mins on high. Next, add coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder & turmeric powder along with salt and cook till the masala is cooked properly. Next, add overnight soaked lobia to the prepared tomato masala. Cook for a min, add water and chopped big pieces of potatoes along with a little garam masala. Bring the water to a boil, cover with the lid and cook till done. Once the pressure is released completely, open the lid, give the lobia curry a good mix, and serve it hot with roti or rice and some salad on the side. 📝Notes: *Adjust the water consistency as per your preference. I had it with roti so the consistency worked well for me. *Adding potatoes is optional, but I would suggest not skipping it.

Ingredients for Daliya Oats Dosa: 1 cup daliya (broken wheat) 1/2 cup oats 1/2 cup urad dal 2 tbsp chana dal 2 tbsp toor dal 1 tsp methi seeds Method: 1. Wash once & soak broken wheat (daliya) and oats together in a bowl. 2. Wash & soak urad dal, chana dal, toor dal, and methi seeds together in another bowl. 3. Soak everything for 5 to 6 hours or overnight (I soaked overnight). 4. After soaking, blend the dals together in a mixer grinder to make a smooth paste. 5. Next, blend the broken wheat (daliya) and oats together. The paste will be slightly coarse. Note: Don’t add too much water while blending everything. We need thick batter. 6. Once both pastes are ready, mix them together in a large bowl, cover, and let the batter ferment for a few hours (5 to 6 hours). 7. Once the batter is well fermented, take out some batter in a mixing bowl, add salt to taste, and add water to adjust the batter consistency. 8. Make crispy dosas using ghee and serve them with chutney or sambar. Notes: - You can skip adding oats and replace them with 1/2 cup of daliya. - Only chana dal or only toor dal can be used as well. - You can replace toor dal with masoor dal. - Do not add too much water while blending everything. - Add salt before making dosas. - I use rolled oats to make the batter.

@@Crochetnaari 🍚🌱Recipe for lauki moong dal Take 1/3 cup yellow moong dal and dry roast it for a few minutes until it becomes fragrant. Remove it from the pan, wash using water and soak it for about 30 mins. Next peel and chop the lauki into medium pieces as shown in the video. You need approx 2 cups chopped lauki. In a pan, heat some mustard oil. Add cumin seeds/jeera and dry red chillies followed by chopped lauki. Sauté for a minute and add soaked moong dal. Give it a good mix and add 3 cups water to it. Bring it a boil, add haldi and salt to taste. Mix, cover and cook till moong dal is cooked properly. Keep the flame low throughout the simmering process. It takes about 20 to 25 mins to cook the dal. If you are not comfortable cooking in a pan, you can always pressure cook this. 1 or 2 whistle will work perfectly. Once done, serve lauki moong dal with steamed rice or roti (I personally prefer roti) and some salad too. Don’t forget to drizzle some ghee before serving 😊 📝Notes: Don’t let the moong dal turn brown while roasting otherwise won’t cook properly. Roasting the dal is an important step, gives an amazing flavour. You can skip the roasting part too if you want but don’t forget to soak the dal for sometime (atleast 20 to 30 mins) before cooking.

Soft, delicious, buttery pavs 🍔 👩🍳 Ingredients: - 3 cups maida - 2 tbsp sugar - Salt to taste - 2 tbsp butter (room temperature) - 2 tsp dry yeast - 1 to 1/4 cup warm milk Method: In a bowl, take 1 cup of warm milk and add sugar. Once the sugar dissolves, add yeast. Give it a mix, cover, and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. After 10 minutes, the yeast should have become frothy and ready to use. Now, take maida in a large mixing bowl along with salt and butter. Give it a good mix and start incorporating the yeast mixture. If the dough feels hard, add more milk (start by adding 1 tbsp at a time but don’t add more than 1/4 cup milk). The dough needs to be soft; a bit sticky is fine, but after kneading, it will become soft. Knead the dough thoroughly with your hands for about 10 to 12 minutes. Cover the dough with cling wrap or a damp cloth for about 1 hour; it will double in size. Knead the dough gently for 2 minutes again. Grease a square-shaped baking tin. Shape the dough into small round balls and place them in the tin. Cover it again with cling wrap or a wet cloth and let it rest again for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, give the risen dough a milk wash and bake for 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 degrees. Once baked, remove the pavs from the tin and apply butter all over. Let it cool completely before enjoying them! 📝 Notes: * The first rise of the dough is important. Give at least an hour or more if needed for the dough to double, but not more than 2 hours. * Let the dough rest for just 45 minutes during the second rise. * Kneading is important, so do it properly for about 10 to 12 minutes. #pav #pavbhaji #dinnerrolls #homemadebreads #homebakedbread #homebakingbread #breadathome #bakedbread #bakingbread #egglessbaking #egglessbakes #egglessbake #breadrecipe #breadrecipes #vadapav #pavbhajirecipe #homebakersindia

Who all make shakkar para or meetha nimki at home during Diwali? 🪔 We do and everyone loves it at home. Here is my gur para recipe for you all, I made them using atta and jaggery and they are just perfect!! 🤩 📝Ingredients for Gur para: 1 cup wholewheat flour/atta 2 tbsp sooji 1 tbsp white sesame seeds (optional) 3 tbsp ghee 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 cup jaggery powder 1/4 cup water Method: Take water in a bowl and add jaggery to it. Mix well so that jaggery melts nicely. Next in a mixing bowl, mix together atta, sooji, sesame seeds, salt and ghee really well for about 2 to 3 minutes. You should be able to bind the dry flour together as shown in the video. Next add the prepared jaggery water and knead a dough. The dough should be hard and not sticky or soft. Cover the dough and let it rest for about 20 mins. After 20 mins, knead the dough again, divide into 3 equal parts and start rolling out 1 part. Don’t make it thin, it has to be thick (as shown in the video) and then cut them as shown in the video. Fry gur pare using ghee or oil in low heat throughout till they turn nice and brown from outside. Take it out in a plate and let it cool down before storing. 🗒️Note: Fry them using ghee for the best taste otherwise oil works well too. The dough needs to be hard and not sticky or soft otherwise texture of gur para will change. Adding sesame seeds is optional. #diwalispecial #diwalispecialrecipe #diwalifood #diwalisnacks #diwalihampers #diwalisweets #diwalicelebration #diwalirecipes #diwalifestival #deepawali #jaggerypowder #jaggeryrecipes #jaggerysweets #jaggery
