Only thing that would have made the new top gun better is if tom cruise was allowed to actually gly the planes him self to give kt more of a real feel tonthe movie snd more kf a feeling lile he is actually flying that plane and fighting g lock snd doing evasive offensive and defensive manuvers to get out of s missle lock or to get a target locked on. Ton cruise is kne of the most bad A** Actors of all tomes considering all the crazy stubts he has fone on his own for movies never used a bldy double stunt man for stunts and he actually does the most crazzuest stuff for fun that most ppl would have nightmares imagining being involved doing that. I got to meet him about 13 years ago when i was selected to be a driver extra driving a car in the movie final destination and was driving one of the extra racecars in the opening racing scene and tom cruise was brought i. To talk to all of us who was extras in extras cars and drivers to make a full field of racecars, and yes all of us who was chosen are all real racecar asphalt oval track race ar drivers and i had been racing since i was 9 and i wa 19 at that time of filming just tirned 19 two weeks prior. And he literally gave us pointers and tips on how to drive the cars so that way the caners get the best shots and view angles of the racecars gor the movie so we dont gotta fo so many takes and he also planned out every single lap like i want number 19 to pass mumber 3 and o want number 32 to get oassed by the 19 & 3 on the lutside snd male it look like that he got left behind woth no dragt to keeo up and then agter we did all the shooting they needed of the cars pretending to race each other and pass then it was time for us to get a final briefing from the stuntan who was gonna be in the roll over car which was equipped with a massive cannon to flip the car over with kut havjng to ise ramps and we planned out those two laps and the final lap on front stretch is where he was gonna flip at and so tom cruise helled plan where rvery other xar needs to be so that way we are in frame like some on the back stretch and some on front stretch anf ect for wheb he fires off the cannon to make it look more real. The car only rolled over once and they used movie magic lol to make it look way more dramatic and unrealistic flups and barrel rolls and parts flying ever and even the engine landing on someone which has bever happened before especially on a half mile high banked local track with the fastest xalss of cars goong inly 120 mph

The movie was honestly near perfection. You don't experience that feeling with many movies. It's amazing because they didn't achieve it by trying to go over the top and pack in a lot of typical action scenes to give that typical empty Hollywood wow effect. Instead, it feels just perfect with the right balance of talent from the cast and every part of the production. It's just a special experience. And the beach scene needs to be scientifically studied.
