They are modeled after the Canon de 75 modèle 1897. The Bretonian untis are currently just for testing purposes and will get properly worked on after we finally finish the Empire.

@@samarkand1585 ... Really? Just to let you know, I'm one of the devs of this mod and I personally modeled all the artillery guns... So, if I tell you that I used this French 75mm canon as a reference while building the model, you can believe me that I actually did use it.

@@Jensehc Let's see...the real one's barrel is smoother looking, doesn't have these circular ridges near the end, but instead has these downward-facing attachments, probably the gun's most immediately recognizable feature, that somehow you missed. The wheels are all wrong, real ones have much more spokes than this, and they're thicker, and they're not attached by these sorts of bolts you created. The shrapnell shield is misshapen, especially the opening where the barrel goes through, it wasn't just a dumb old square. And for my final nitpickings, the shield also has a weird texture, and no fleur-de-lys was engraved on them, but that's an artistic liberty I can get behind to go with Warhammer. Oh and the breech seems to sit too far back behind the shield when in its resting position, and the handle to open and close the breech was quite a bit more complex-looking than what you did, but I guess I'll stop there.

@@samarkand1585 Yeah, I absolutely agree that the model is far away from being 100% accurate. The thing is, I wish you good luck achieving these kind of details, when all you can do is rearranging and manually editing already existing meshes from Warhammer 3. This cannon was literally built out of parts from the Empire great cannon, the steam tank and other units. I can't simply create a perfect model in blender and put it into the game. As I said the Bretonia units will get a rework, when we work on them as a proper faction, but for now this is simply the best I can do, with what I have available. All our units are built this way, so maybe it would make more sense to be glad that this was possible at all? For example you have no idea how long it took us, to find a way to somewhat animate the gun recoil. We are using the gun barrel as a separate model, that gets added as an animated prop during the animation, using the fire animation from Kislevs gun on the sled. I know it's not perfect, but we spend countless hours trying to built modern units in a fantasy game that was never supposed to have them. Maybe you should consider this the next time, before you write your comment.

Mhm and i can't wait to see what they will do with them next. Like, dude, imagine Grail Knights riding alongside Lady Blessed Tanks. That would be awesome.

Currently we only have 3 units included in custom battles for testing purposes. Once the Empire is finished, they will get a full faction rework.

If CA brings an officail Albion dlc we can make them, otherwise we might do something based on the Albion mod once the other factions are done. Keep in mind that it will probably take a lot of time before we get to this point.

@@Jensehc woah, you mean to tell me the Empire's not even finished yet? That's neat. I can't wait to see what else is in store with this mod. One question though; sometimes i see the riflemen not firing at the enemy at all in these videos. Do you know what could be the cause?

@@snowboi2813 That's mostly a problem of line of sight. Even the slightest hill can cause the units to not "see" the enemy, because the projectiles travel in a straight line.

@@Jensehc Aaaah, that explains a lot. Thanks man, you cleared up a long time confusion i had with these showcases.

​@@snowboi2813 Another developer here who is mainly responsible for the behavior of the units/projectiles. The problem ultimately lies in the physics of the game engines. We can make a projectile fly either in a straight line like a laser beam or in an arc. Bullets are naturally very fast, but the maps in this game are actually very small. Therefore, we cannot work with realistic ranges of these weapons and their realistic speed. To make them fly in even a small arc, we would have to slow them down enormously. Ultimately, Warhammer 3 was never designed for modern combat, and as such we have to make many concessions that we would never make in a game designed for that purpose.
