6:50 actually half of what you pay on self employment tax on schedule C is deductible. Basically from $100,000 you pay 15.3% SE tax which is $15,300. Then half of $15,300 is deductible, this reduces your taxable income. You should have noted that as well, then the difference wont be as much as $6,000 savings with S corp.

thank you. i'm looking to get into pet trasport through citizen shipper which says I need a usdot # but I"m not a trucking company and ont he usdot website all the questiosn pertain to trucks, buses, vans, coaches, etc. Also, I almost got caught up by a site that looked like usdot(gov), but it was mcdot(COM). After more research, I came across this boc3 term and application. its all very complicated and I'm wondering if I really need all of this to drive somebody's dog across the country. Thans for the headsup about the cold callers and mailers. when I registerd my llc, I began to get alot of similar mail and calls. it can be overwhelming. as a new business owner trying to figure things out, I feel like the environment is very predatory.

Y’all insurance more than what they charge in tx for commercial insurance . It’s a 1,000 a month for a million dollar bond here . I’m not talking about dually truck and trailer . What I saw was a full on tractor trailer the coverage was way less than you pay . But I guess the price tag on insurance different in each state .

Hello, would you have to pay taxes on your 4K a month transaction, for you personal taxes ?

So I have to pay for insurance the whole time I’m waiting for my authority to get apporoved if I’m not even hauling in the mean time ??

My only question is say if you only want to use the facturing sometimes like only send them your invoices when you want I’m not always going to need my cash instantly sometimes i can wait the 30days so again are you obligated to send every invoice to them or can you pick & choose when u want to use them?
