I have this fault on my 1.4 turbo GTC and the mechanic replaced the cover like you pointed out but the fault has come back. They advise me they have smoke tested twice and there are no visible leaks. They also told me that the EVAP valve wasn’t bad. He can’t figure out what’s causing the problem. No idea what to do next.
I have the same car mate I replaced the purge valve but the code is still there. It’s a pain
I have an Astra J 1.6 2011, it’s revs high when i slow down at a junction and touch the brake , will changing the cover fix the problem?
No it won't fix your fault. Check for dtc's first.
Thanks very interesting. Is it the same on the Z18XE engine thanks?
Can this fault also cause failure to hot start or is that a separate issue even though P0171 is showing?
No this fault won't cause a failure to hot start.
Последняя серия настоящих мерседесов, сделанных инженерами.
I have tried this on my car and I have no vacuum at all, I have oil in my cylinder, is this likely the cause??
It's such a bs engineering decision to integrate these cheap parts into a god damn valve cover and intake manifold. Vacuum valve costs like 5 euros and that membrane probably costs cents on its own, but what you've got is a fix that probably will cost 500 euros, because of the shit you got to change... Unbelievable... People, be smart, do some in-depth research before buying a car, because sure as shit, I wasn't.
Hi have same and want put a mechanical can you give tell me Your pump assembly for the edge etc thanks
Why ?
An alternative procedure is to look down the tube where the hose is connected, and if you see an orange nipple down below, it tells you that the valve is still in place and is working.
Headcover can be repaired: ua-cam.com/video/3fenm5MBXa8/v-deo.html
thank you very very much, very helpfull!!
And you know the price for the Non-return valve, or the complete piece? Fuckin Opel I've got the P1011 Error, i've replaced the head that you replaced aswell and now i've got a P0171 code... damn
The non return valve is in the manifold and all one piece. Its a rip off I know.
The sound of the om606. Absolutely fantastic😎 was three a reason not to take the om606 mechanical pump as it was used in the late w124?
How did you solve vacume ignation shut off valve?
Would this combination get me the same performance / fuel consumption as in a stock w124 300td? (the later ones that use mechanical injection om606)
Hi not really as the w124 was not 24 valve and so won't be as tuneable as the om606 from a w210.
@@danthecarman8440 but the last w124's had the om606
@@danthecarman8440 aren't all on606 24v?
@@sv_cheats1970 Well, that chassis was bad named W124, was the first E Series, E300 Diesel OM606 24V 136HP with mech. pump RS203.
@@jarripotero8535 ah they also had a mechanical pump! Thanks
Thank you very much, is it necessary to check the crankcase ventilation hose too?
Yes for any cracks
What oil you using
how many hp can produce a stock om606 with stock turbo and om603 injectionpump with 5.5 elements?
The stock om606 is about 200 bhp but with om603 pump and bigger turbo you can go to 500 bhp
He means stock om603 pump
hi I would like to know how you connected the throttle cable and what did you do to get the transmission make to shift did you use the tps sensor and how? , could you make a video and explain better that thanks
Hi Rafael. Yes I will do a proper video soon and will will hopefully have a bigger turbo installed too. The transmission won't work with out the edc pump as it uses the rack position sensor. What I did was I brought a stand alone ecu. I still kept the tps though for the transmission to know accelerator position.
@@danthecarman8440 Thank you very much for answering What kind of tcu alone do you use (off gear controller) from Arduino, what I was thinking was to run a throttle cable from the Original TPS mount to the mechanical injection pump and leave the EDC pump connected resting on the side and see how the car respond , What Do You Think About That Thank You
@@rafaelbrea6743 I tried that myself leaving the edc pump connected but it still won't work the transmission.
@@danthecarman8440 Oh wow thank you for let me know that, So what do you use Ofgear controller for the transmission ?
@@rafaelbrea6743 yes from ofgear. What car are you going to fit the engine to ?
Hi, I've got an astra j in at the moment. How much vacuum should be created when you suck? I can blow air in quite freely and I can suck air out but with slightly more resistance. Should just be able to suck any air out? Thanks
The one way valve you are testing for vacum should at least hold a good amount of vacum. Exactly how much is hard to say but normally the valve just falls out and you get no vacum at all on sucking through and it should hold the vacum. Hope that helps.
@@danthecarman8440 thanks Dan. I can suck air through and not much of a vacuum but there is definitely a bit of of vacuum there. Trouble is a i havent got a known good 1 to compare it to.
Thank's freind Good work
Daft question but do you have any links to help with front subframe removal /PARTIAL removal to renew wishbones. Have had a look online and can't seem to find anything Thanks
In order to remove the lower wishbones the subframe needs to be dropped as the bolts won't come out.
@@danthecarman8440 thanksfor reply mate. I have heard the subframe needs removing but when I look online there is no info on how to do this :( I have a mg workshop disc but my computer won't play it.
@@craigreeve8770 You only need to drop it a couple of inches. Loosen the steering rack at the subframe and then just loosen the subframe mounts in order for it to drop
@@danthecarman8440 thanks Dan, I have done it now :) thanks again mate
Daniel by any chance can you advise where you have found the mentioned pump? I am from Malta as well so it would be great if you can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance, Luke Borg
Check Germany 🇩🇪 ebay Also check dieselpump uk 🇬🇧 google the guy
Hi there, how have you found the improvements to be with the mechanical pump with larger elements? Stock turbo? I am thinking of doing the same thing.
Hi Matthew I have found it good so far and it's running on a stock turbo at 1.5 bar but I'm upgrading it soon to a hx35. I also have a stand-alone ecu for the transmission as it won't work with out the edc pump.
