    I think the "word" im trying to "learn" here is to "Balance". Learn how to balance every aspects in an individual lives, emotions, thoughts, logics, money,life,love, social status, peace of mind, etc... Its all a balancing act to me, and thats the hard part, to humanity.

    Not quite sure what a good final goal is or can be. So, thus, stoicism can come across as strategic coping with meaninglessness.

    • @betterfuture231
      @betterfuture231 4 дні тому

      @@watcher8582 it can be anything, that is for you to decide. Meaning is not found in anything but decided by us as individuals or collectively as people. So if purpose is the problem, as in you don’t know what to strive for, then you need to mediate on that for a minute. You could also think of it like this: stoicism is for the path, but not necessarily THE path. Does that make sense?

    What sometimes works for me is just to start. Starting is maybe the hardest thing. I think you one must also allow oneself to start and then end it soon after. On a few repeats, you probably still get it done.

    Nice vid. Thanks. I'm not sure how stoicism stands towards setting goals for improvement, vs. a philosophy of pain minimization. I think there's many appealing points being made in stoicism, what I know of it, but I have to admit I'm suspicious of ideas that are as old as this. You'd think there's a better update on them. Might be wrong tho.

    • @betterfuture231
      @betterfuture231 4 місяці тому

      Philosophies like stoicism have lasted for so long precisely because of their relevance to us and how applicable they are. This isn't to say that stoicism is THE philosophy, but most people will find merit in applying at least some aspects of stoicism to their life

    Nothing is set in stone! Sure, you arrive on earth with a certain bagage, but you have the ability to change (of course, not what’s related to the body like eye color). Although I believe in repetitive cycles in family, I also believe we can break them! I too believed I was shy and that it was how I were. I think I never affirmed that it was in my genes, but I’m pretty sure I looked at my father and told myself that it was because of him, that it came from him (so, in a sense, from the genes). But now I know why I am shy. That’s not because that’s how I am. I don’t want to be like that. That’s because of past traumas mostly, some wounds from childhood. It’s because of fear, ego, survival mechanism, not genetics. Maybe I have a tendency to be more shy because of genes, but that doesn’t mean I HAVE to be shy. I feel you tho. You know, I would have never wrote this comment if we were like what 6 months ago, because I still struggle with those wounds and traumas, but I make progress. You seem to have made some good progress yourself, it’s nice to see it. Also, I personally think the camera looks good 😊

    That’s really interesting! I too believe that God is not how we present it in religion. Morals is a human thing, and in the spiritual realm there is no such thing as good or wrong. But I believe in karma, and that would be the "justice". I believe in oneness, but also in individual consciousness, in the soul. I believe we all have a soul and that we are infinite beings that reincarnates. I believe in angels/archangels, spirit guides. I believe we can talk to the dead (because of some experiences I got in the past). I see how believing that there is no such thing as a specific being in the universe can be more logical to the mind, but from my own experience, saying that there is no "seperate" consciousness from myself would then be saying I’m crazy and that I’m hearing voices in my head. Which is false, well at least I hope (who knows? Maybe I’m just a crazy man). All that to say that I believe God is "seperate" from me in a sense, that I have my own soul, seperate from yours, but that we still are one, that we still are all connected togheter. It may seem contradictory, but I believe that this is what it is. And I’m not saying you’re wrong. I’m still on this journey of finding the truth. I just can’t deny that the dead talks, that there are spirit guides with us and angels protecting us, because I can hear them. And I may even be able to talk to God (but really I’m scared to be crazy in all honesty). There would be a lot more things to say, but yeah my most important point here is that I believe in the soul and other beings in the spiritual realm, while still believing in the oneness of things. I hope you understand me and that I was clear, english is not my first language

    Drawing from personal experience is crucial when offering advice. It’s important to recognize that even well-intentioned guidance can sometimes be misinterpreted or not fully valued. I hold the view that understanding the reasons behind giving advice (the ‘why’) and knowing the recipient (the ‘who’) are equally important as the content of the advice itself (the ‘what’). These insights are often acquired through self-awareness and introspection. On a related note, I’m curious about your preferred sources for philosophical insights and what prompted your pursuit to achieve a better life?

    I agree with most of what you are saying, but I just don’t see the point in specifically saying this is a role for “men” and the “men” needs to lead. This isn’t an uncommon way of phrasing that excludes women from the situation, but it’s so unnecessary as this is a people issue and an issue for everyone to help solve and take roles in. I would pose you to question if the reverse situation of phrasing men out of this conversation would be appropriate. I do like your videos from what I’ve seen so far and this is not hate, but something I wish to see society to grow their awareness to. Ty

      I definitely see where you're coming from. When I use the term "men", I'm not necessarily referring to men (the sex) but rather humanity has a whole. I.E: "The dawn of man" means "the dawn of humanity". I'll make sure to be mindful of this in future videos and to remind people what exactly I mean when and if I use this phrase in the future. Well said man. We're always on the edge of existence and nothing, but we don't really appreciate or respect that. In places like the Middle East, people understand it firsthand because they lose family and friends every day to war or diseases. And yet we idle and procrastinate in fear of rejection and failing, all while we erroneously believe ourselves to be at the center of the universe. It's wasteful and kind of sad in my opinion.

      Well said bro. The first world's citizens takes a lot for granted, and the first world's elite take from the developing world. It's incredibly sad to see, which is why we must develop a course of action to combat these issues. It's part of the reason taking action TODAY is so important; People might have genuinely good ideas to solve these issues, but inaction leads to no development.
