I was at Corkscrew a year and a half ago. We loved the food and their slaw inspired the slaw we use on our BBQ truck in Wisconsin. I was #16 in line and by the time I got to order they were almost out of brisket between the 15 in front of me and online orders. Great people working there and great food.

Here in my city (Los Angeles) I can get white oak and red oak. White oak would be a better pick to get that Texas flavor?

I do have a question though. I am trying to figure out what type of tree is in my parents backyard,if it is Post Oak or Swampy oak. I would like to utilize the wood in my BBQ. If it is swampy oak is that just as good for bBQ like Post Oak?
