It's the camera angles that add to the realism, the way you zoom in to follow the trains as they travel away from you and dissappear out of view that makes it look like a real trainspotting video, awesome
It's fictional. I do know there was a station of this name in Shropshire, which closed long ago, but it was a small rural station. Got the names of my layout stations from a 1970s series called Thriller.
@@353madman Thankyou. Advice...go for 2nd hand stuff..as the new model prices are a joke these days. Got a Bachmann BR Blue 47 off ebay, 2nd hand for £ 120. Same models new are around £240. It is one of my best runners and looks great, for half the price.
Subscribed. Oh come on, you obviously went back in time and filmed a real station then overdubbed the model railway sounds. You can't fool me. One of the best layouts that I have seen. The YT algorithm didn't put it up till today, sadly. What controller do you use? Track bus plus an accessories bus?
Thankyou. Wish I had that time-machine. I use a Lenz 90 controler; had it many years now. I use a track bus made from standard domestic house supply wire and the points, signals and lights have their own individual smaller gauge bus.wires.
Fantastic layout. What I liked most apart from the grainy greyish grubby Great Northern 70-80s vibe, is that the trains move realistically. They don't start out from the station immediate accelerating to 60-70 mph!, they look like real trains. I was minded of St.Pancras; I used to travel into there from Sheffield in the 60s. Tremendous atmosphere! Thanks.
I’ve never seen this one before but wow! I love your view from a different perspective rather than the normal ‘ from above’ view. It’s definitely one for the urban setting fans! Brilliant.
So good to see drivers in cabs, when i worked for BR it was common to see not only drivers in cabs, but inspectors and guards in cabs as well. I drove epbs for BR and wonder at the plethora of outfits that just run ghost trains with no train crews or passengers, because they couldn't be bothered to finish the job. So refreshing to see another perfectionist, lovely job all round. I see you've got some juice rail as well, not many bother with that either. Only once did i get down from a cab, counting, 1,2,3,4 oh heck, looked down and i've got one foot on the juice, back up stepped clear, thanked the powers that be for issuing good quality safety boots, in those days BR uniform was everything except your knickers.
Excellent layout kind sir. My congratulations on the exquisite detail and overall atmosphere you have achieved. One question I have is where you managed ro obtain the multi track span girders for the overhead catenary? I have a few electric locos and want to emulate such a look. I have the single masts... its the girders across the tracks I seek. Cheers from Oz. Gaz 😊
Thankyou Gaz. All the OHLE masts are home made from brass section, except the catelated ones which are plastic section. I believe there is an outfit that makes the multi track girders www.scalemodelscenery.co.uk/lx050-oo-mix--match-laser-cut-catenary-x28ohle-masts--headspansx29-oo4mm176-1810-p.asp but I think these are laser cut board, so not sure as to their durability. Im sure someone else does them in brass, but cant remember their name.
@minsterley2002 Thank you for your prompt reply kind sir. I had heard that scratch building them was an option which I shall thus consider in future. Cardboard ones sound they would be too fragile and delicate so that won't work. Thanks again for getting back to me. Cheers. 😊
This layout is one i always look forward to seeing, it has to be the best out there by far, The atmosphere, the sounds, the lighting...... Everything about it is faultless... Thanks for again sharing another video of it, long may it continue. P.S. I've shared this numerous times with friends of the hobby 😄
Ah Minsterley, it's always so nice to see a new video appear on here of the layout. Minsterley sure has to be one of the best most atmospheric layouts. I just love the sounds, the look of that slightly run down but not broke railway I remember in the 1980's................the clutter and slightly dull colours really make it wonderful. Thanks so much for another episode, all the best Dave.
Excellent, that's the era of BR trains I grew up with. Imagine having a whole publicly owned rail network that was affordable (albeit a bit grimy and run down). I loved it. Thank you for the excellent modelling and video 🤩
I can't believe i only just found this. Wonderful railway and the best subject too- BR Blue. Truly inspiring.
Many thanks.
That was FANTASTIC ....... WOW
Thankyou, glad you enjoyed it.

A great running session here Minsterley, some great shots of the various trains running.
Thankyou David.
A masterclass in model railway, just awesome... Well done dave you never disappoint, please upload some more . All the best ..Deano.
Thankyou Deano.
진짜 영국의 기차역 같네요
그렇게 생각해주셔서 기뻐요. 매우 감사합니다.
Excellent Dave!!!
Thankyou Mike.
Is this a fictitious line or based on the Minsterly in Shropshire?
It's fictional. I do know there was a station of this name in Shropshire, which closed long ago, but it was a small rural station. Got the names of my layout stations from a 1970s series called Thriller.
Have you sold youre 321 then ?
No I haven't sold it.
For some reason I was convinced you fully converted to BR Blue...
@@353madman I have, but still have my modern image stock packed away.
@@minsterley2002 fair enough, beautiful works as ever. Any advice you would give to someone starting out?

Superbe detailing and operations

Absolutely extraordinary. The time, money and dedication that has gone into this ... I'm speechless.😮
